Hi! I am looking for a pediatrician for our soon to be here new baby. I will be delivering at SkyRidge and hope that I can use someone either in SkyRidge or near by. Or if anyone has used the pediatrician in SkyRidge, how do you like them? And do you have their contact info? A friend of my Mom's uses them and likes them and that seems to be the route I would like to go.

See, we live 3 hours from the hospital, and I will most likly be delivering via c-section so I am hoping I can work in a appointment while I am still in the hospital (4-5 day stay) from a pediatrician that can come check LO while we are there. I am hoping to elimanate the need to drive back untill the 1 mo. check up. I know most pediatricians do a check up at a few days old, and I was hoping I could do that while I am still in the hospital. Does that sounds like it would work at all?

Thanks Ladies! Any advice is greatly needed as this is our first child and I am in uncharted waters!

We take our girls to Southeast Denver Pediatrics. Two friends recommended them and I have been happy with them. They are on the other side of I25 from Skyridge, next to the Wildlife Center, which is just about 3 minutes away from the hospital.

Here is my first piece of advice, make sure your insurance will cover the hospital ped. With my first child I didn't have the ped that I was planning on going to come to the hospital and thought I could just use theirs until after I was able to go home. Wrong my insurance didnt cover their ped and I had to pay a few hundred just for that. Since you live so far I am sure that you will have your own ped closer to where you live incase they get sick or something. I would call and see if your insurance covers that one visit in the hospital and then go to your primary ped closer to your house.

I love our Pediatrician, Marc Avner with Greenwood Pediatrics. They are not far from SkyRidge. He is smart, kind, loving and really stays on top of everything. We had a preemie and was very happy with him. Good luick!

I recommend Partners in Pediatrics. They are right across I25. They are meticulous, attentive, take a holistic approach when that makes sense and are extremely responsive. They were recommended to me 11 years ago when I had my first and I have been nothing short of delighted with their practice.
Hope this helps.

First of all, the best Pediatric office in town (in my opinion) is CrownPoint Pediatrics. They were originally in Aurora and 2 years ago moved to C-470 and Parker Road, only 5 minutes or so from SkyRidge. They have two docs and a few PAs in the office and accommodate family needs unbelievably. I have never NOT been squeezed in with a sick kid and they are so caring and helpful with first time moms and I have never been rushed out of the office.

I have had three kids and with all three, my pediatrician came to the hospital to check the baby and then again 2 to 3 days later at the office. We see Dr. Roos but know that Dr. Kalan is great too, it is just a matter of choosing the doc that clicks best with you.

Good luck and the first baby and hold on for the ride. = )

Love Love Love Partners in Pediatrics! Very attentive, gentle, kind. Each provider treats my child/me like they have all of the time in the world. I also love the fact they offer holistic approaches and do not push antibiotics. They do have several providers in the office so if you are in for a sickness or urgent matter, you might not be able to request a specific doctor or PA. Otherwise, for Well visits you can request to see one of your favorites. You can can and set up a tour/interview. ###-###-####. I am sure they can answer your question about that follow-up visit. Good Luck and Congrats!
