Hi there! I need your recommendations for a pediatrician (or family practice with great baby/child experience) in Allen. I have been taking my toddler to North Dallas Pediatrics who I actually really like but with a new baby coming in December, I would really like to find a good doctor closer to home. So if you love your doc, let me know! Also, if you have had a BAD experience with a pediatrician in Allen, that would be helpful as well!

Good luck!
We've been going to Dr. Monika Bhatia for 3 years! We truly love her! She's a small office of only 3 women. That I also love. She's never too busy to see one of my boys, no matter what time of day it is. She actually saw my younger son during her lunch break. While we were there, I noticed she was also seeing another patient. To me, that is true dedication! Her nurse and office manager are extremely friendly as well. Dr. Bhatia's office is called Kids' Choice Pediatrics. She's in the Kroger shopping center on McDermott and Alma.
Good Luck!

I take my 2.5 yr old and 5 mo old sons to Raintree Pediatrics very near Allen Presby. We chose that group for Dr. Yuri Cook who came highly recommended from a nurse in the L&D unit. He's very good but has a no-nonsense bedside manner which was a little too "all about business" for me. We now see Amber Hollifield, PA. I know she's not an MD and if ever there was a perplexing issue that she couldn't solve, she could consult with one of the MD's. But she is amazing with the boys and has a great bedside manner and very fun delivery. The office staff is great, they have a variety of hours, and Sat appts, too. They have 2 MD's, a PA and a CNP.
Hi R.. We used to live in Allen, and I would recommend NOT going to Dr. Moulton. His office was very good about getting us in the same day, but I did not care for Dr. Moulton's style/personality. I always felt patronized and belittled like I was being too worrisome or too careful. He was wrong on some matters, and I am glad I continued and pursued what my gut was telling me about a continuous issue my daughter was having (food allergies causing sinus/ear infections). I know a lot of parents like him, but he did not respect or take seriously the issue my daughter was having over and over. She became completely healthy when we changed pediatricians and has not had any more infections. Hope that helps.
Dr Yuri Cook at Raintree Pediatrics is great, we love the office. His number is ###-###-####. The address is 1111 Raintree Circle, they are right behind the Allen Presybeterian Hospital.
We have been Going to Allen Pediatrics at Alma and Exchange for over 5 years ever since my daughter was born. We also take our infant son there too now. We lovr Dr. Barksdale. She is awesome!
Actually Dr. Yuri Cook and Dr. Daniel Moulton used to be in the same office.....so all of these recommendations are very good.
I personally have been seeing Dr. Cook since for 7 years (he saw my youngest in the nursery at the hospital). He IS no nonsense, but you can trust that he knows what he is doing, that he LIVES for treating our children and that he wouldn't do anything he didn't believe in whole heartedly. I have lived in 4 states with young children and he is by far the best pediatrician we have ever seen.
And, if you can't see him, I agree that Amber is fabulous too! My girls are getting to the age that they like a "woman" to see them for their physicals and I trust her 100%.
It is a very well run office and in 7 years I have only had one issue with the staff. It was actually when Cook and Moulton were together. I brought it up to Dr. Cook and he assured me he would talk to the person. Next time I went, no further issues.
Hope this helps!
I love Dr. Marcy Berry. She is in Plano, at Custer and Spring Creek. I live in Allen and she is about 7 minutes from my house. Her number is ###-###-####.
I highly recommend Dr. Dan Moulton. He and all of his staff are so nice & helpful. We always get in the same morning for sick visits or even late afternoon if they've woken up from nap really sick.
We picked him out of a book when our oldest was born a few weeks early (so we hadn't interviewed Peds yet) and we've been going to him for almost 5 years now.
Hello R.,
I also take both of my daughters to Allen Pediatrics at Alma and Exchange. We have been going there for three years now. We love Dr. Barksdale and her staff (nurse Margarette and receptionist LaCheryl).

My 5mo old son goes to Rain Tree Pediatrics in Allen right neare Presby Allen Hosp. He's primary doc there is Dr. Yuri Cook. I really like him a lot. He spend lots of time with us and never makes me feel rushed. He answers all my questions at all visits. We've also seen Dr. Kim Smith when Dr. Cook was out of town. I liked her a lot as well. The staff has been great. Everyone is very friendly and warm. One thing that really attracted me to this office was that they have Sat. apps & during the school year they are open in the evening for sick kids. I am a working mom so that meant a lot to me. They have a website...www.raintreepediatrics.com
Good luck with your decision.
Dr. Chartrand at Harmony Family Health. He listens to YOU! And you never feel rushed. Great experience.
I 2nd Dr. Daniel Moulton...awesome doctor and fabulous bed-side manner-- great with the children...very FUN to go see him. Takes the STING out of going to the doctor. He is moving from the 3rd floor at Allen Presby to the 2nd floor in early Nov. Great office staff and nurses!
