Hi -- hoping you all have some pediatrician recommendations (preferably male, CIGNA) in the Rye, NY or White Plains area? Baby is due very soon and we're really behind the ball on this one! Thanks!

We love our pediatricians. There are two males and I believe three females in the practice. They are in Rye Brook, the Rye Ridge Shopping Center. It's called Pediatric Associates. I'm not sure if they take CIGNA, but they are fabulous. I have a 5 month old and I am very happy with them. Hope this helps.

D.- Our pediatrician is a female but we have been very happy with her and her partners. They are all female. My son was born premature at 28 weeks and we had not picked out a doctor either. We went with a recommendation from my OBGYN and again have been very happy. My son, who is now 3, broke his leg over the summer and when we went to see Dr. Delamora, an orthopedist, he told us that is the pediatrician he uses. So, I recommend Dr. Ross at Westchester Park Pediatrics in White Plains on Westchester Ave. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck with your search.

I have a female doctor,(Doctor Deborah Schienthal-who is great!) but she is part of the Westchester Medical Group which has offices on Westchester Avenue in White Plains and Theall Road in Rye. They have male and female doctors. There are quite a few doctors in this practice, and I have seen about 5 of them. It is nice to have such a large group of doctors in case of emergency. If you are interested, the general phone number is ###-###-####.

I love, love, love mine- Dr. Paul Juan in Greenwich. He is amazing! He practices by himself like and old-fashioned doctor and always get back to you within minutes.
He is amazingly supportive in every aspect.

Dr. Amler in White Plains is amazing. There are 2 other male and 1 female doctor in the practice as well. My daughter has seen Dr. Levine and he's also great. I met with Dr. Amler before I had my daughter. You can call the office and make an appointment to meet with him after office hours if you'd like to speak with him before your baby is born.

We go to Chester Ped. in White Plains on North Broadway. There are four doctors, three males and a female. Dr. Ambler is my favorite, but Dr. Levin is also very good. They are very good with emergencies and we are always able to get a "sick" appt. and they respond via telephone very quickly. However, I'm not sure if they take Cigna. Just give them a call and ask.

We also use the westchester medical group - Dr. Proskin. Again a female, but we love her. She's so calm about everything, and she has little ones of her own, so she really relates.

I had gotten some recommendations from my OBGYN (including I think that one in Rye Brook), but some did not take our insurance, or did not take any insurance, so our choices were limited. I was surprised because we have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, which is normally accepted by just about everyone. But a number of practices around here take only one or two insurances or none.
