Period After Birth?

I had my daughter about 7 months ago. I have had two periods in the past few months. I have been keeping track of them also. The first one started on the 17th, and then the next one started on the 19th of the next month. This month's has not started yet, and it is already the 23rd. Should I be worried that I might be pregnant again? I know it can take a while, but how long does it generally take for a REGULAR period to resume?

What can I do next?

I got my periods back 3 months after the birth of both my girls, and was pregnant right away (only one period) after my first. After the second, my period was pretty regular right away. It can be different for every person though. If you are worried about possibly being pregnant, I say take a test as it is very easy to get pregnant after having a child (even while breastfeeding). I know all about it, my girls are 13 months apart :-)
Good luck!

The breast feeding, birth control and even your hormones can cause irregular periods. It took a year for mine to get back to normal.

This varies a lot.

Mine didn't come back -- at all - until 13 months after my daughter was born. But then it was regular like clockwork. Others I know got only a 3 months break.

You can become pregnant even if your regular periods have not resumed yet. Many people believe that breastfeeding prevents periods and therefore prevents pregnancy. Even though my babies were exclusively breastfed, my periods resumed immediately after both of my pregancies.

Are you breastfeeding? Because some months you will skip ovulation completely.

Did you get any birth control device installed into you? Such as Merena or anything like that? They can cause your periods to be very irregular.

Some moms take up to a year after pregnancy until their periods get back to normal. Mine was back to normal immediately. What day are you on the cycle? If you are sexually active without protection I would buy a pregnancy test if you are worried. If money is an issue don't be overly worried unless your not using protection.
