hi moms...
i recently had my tubes tied in july after the birth of my son. my first period came on 9/8....but i used maybe 2 pads that day and i've only been spotting the rest of the time. i had no cramps....only bloating and fatigue the first day. i also notice that i get dizzy spells and have become alot more irritated than i did before this procedure.

has anyone else experienced this?? i was thinking of calling my gyn...i just want to see if it's a common thing.
thanx in advance!
M.

What can I do next?

I had my tubes tied 4 years ago and still have period issues. I also have dizziness and the like however I do have a blood circulation issue not related to my tubal. If you are interested in looking into this more with your GYN it certainly can't hurt to find out what is really causing your issues. I am also way more hormonal than I ever was prior to the tubal. I'm still working with my GYN to figure out exactly what is up with me and how to correct it. I hope you find out sooner than that.

I had my tubal in May during my c-section and could not tell the difference. My period is heavy the first couple days but it always has been.
I did get really dizzy and anxious after this baby and found out from bloodwork I am having thyroid problems.
Its probably worth looking into. Its probably not the tubal.

Actually, when I was doing research on a tubal for myself, I found out that there is some sort of tubal syndrome thing that some women get. Some women get nothing, but some women get heavier periods, more moods...lots of other things. According to what I read, sometimes the way the tubes are cut, it can cause an issue with the hormones that are normally released and can cause a whole lot of problems. That's actually what made me decide to have my hubby get snipped and not me. I don't know how true the tubal issues are, but I was too worried to risk it! If you google "tubal side effects" I bet you'll find a lot of info and can see if that is something you are dealing with. Most women I know seem fine after a tubal. But I do have a friend who had an awful time. It seems like some doctors don't believe it's real, but there is so much info out there that I question whether they really know it's not real or not.

Anyway...I hope that helps and that you are able to figure out what the deal is!

After mine my periods are really heavy one month and then the next there is hardly anything. On the months there is not much I have horrible cramps, but when it is heavy no cramps at all. I asked my doctor and she was not concerned. She said the heavier cramps with less is because the uterus is working harder to get that little bit out. Very strange I think!

Having your tubes tied should not have an affect on your periods. Probably
just your body changing. Like a baby, just when you think you know you
can predict something, it all changes!!!!!
