Hi

Had my 3rd baby 12 weeks ago after an awful pregnancy,, (bad swelling, fluid retention joint stifness)
he was 9'8 and since the birth have had this pain in my stomach Is not as bad as it was in the beginning but still quite bad Whenever I sneeze or cough get a sharp pain and my stomach is bloated did not have this after other two kids
Have been to doc and says it could be muscle pain?
Has anyone else had this??

Would really appreciate any opinions,

Where exactly is the pain?
Is it in your lower hip area? Then it might be your ovaries or your uterus. Is it in your middle rib area? Then it might be your gall bladder.

If it continues, I would ask the dr. for an ultrasound.

I'm thinking gallbladder too if it's near your stomach. I had a 10 lb 11 oz baby, as well as a 9 lb 7 oz baby, and I never felt a pain like that after they were born. I'm on baby #5...and never felt a pain like that. So, I'm thinking it might not be pregnancy related. And maybe that's why you were having such a hard time with your pregnancy (though I don't know what the side effects are from gall bladder issues in pregnancy). Maybe look up side effects and see if it fits your pain?

Did you have a c-section or vaginal?

Vaginal - may have had something knock a bit loose or prolapse, may have strained some internal musculature, etc.

C-section - may have put your organs back in the places they didn't go (such as didn't correctly rewind your intestines back in the right spots, maybe placed too much intestine in the wrong side, may have placed too much pressure once the uterus was put back in, may have nicked an organ and it's slowly bleeding and filling up your abdominal cavity.. lots of things could go wring from a cesarean).

Definitely go get a second opinion.

I would have an ultrsound done. Just to be sure everything is all right.
