Okay we have our own personal insurance, my husband is considered self employed. We pay an arm and a leg for a high deductible plan and we switched it Jan 1st and after having gall bladder removed a week ago with new insurance, this plan is just as bad!!! Any smaller insurance companies anyone knows of for personal insurance would help tremendously!! Thanks

What can I do next?

We own our company and it is just us and our daughter. I pay about $1500 a month before any Dr. visits. Now, about $500 of that is worst case coverage just in case one of us gets very sick, accident, disabled, etc.

We've had no surgeries and when we go to the Dr., we pay as a cash customer 100% then the Dr. files it and sometimes we get the credit due back to us but mostly not. So a routine Dr visit for us is $300 by the time you get an RX if needed.

Our is through Great Southwest or something like that. The good part is our company is set up to pay all medical imsurance at 100% for any employees so we do get reimbursed 100% from our company. Still.... it is a small fortune and I don't foresee it getting any better.

Thank you BO...NOT

My insurance agent is Glenn Bates with Covenant Health. He could answer your questions and help you find what you are looking for. I would highly recommend him!! His number is ###-###-####

We have personal insurance too. We switched at the first of the year to Cigna a policy that has a $1500 and covers 70/30. It is reasonably priced but we have not used surgery benefits or anything major so I cannot attest to that. I saw check em out, cigna.com:)
