Since giving birth to my daughter 14 months ago, I have gained about 60 pounds. After a year of diet and exercise and no results I've turned to my medical professional who has given me the combo of Phentermine 37.5 mg and Topamax 100mg. My question to you all is , have any of you ever taken either/or and obtained results? Anything you can provide me is greatly appreciated.

I have not taken either drugs, but I have a friend that is a pharmaceutical Rep for the maker of topamax. She actually took it for weight loss very successfully. I have no idea what the side effects are, but she said it was a migraine medication that's #1 side effect is weight loss.
I'd love to sit down with you and look at your food intake before you make such a choice. Those medications often have very negative side effects. Check out my website and let me know if you are interested. I've lost 165 pounds myself through good old fashioned diet change and exercise.

i know 8 people on phentramine, one is a Dr & 5 are nurses.......none of them had any side effects.....my sister was about 20 pounds overweight & she lost it all in 4 months, she just stopped taking it a month ago & hasnt put any weight back on........i dont know anything about topamax
i have actually taken phentermine. it is great if you change your habits. because reguardless you will lose the weight, about 2.5 lbs a week. but when you stop and if you are not eating right, you will gain it back. some side effects are very dry mouth, so you will be drinking more water. it gives you lots of energy, sometimes a jittery feelig. but i have high blood pressure so i stopped taking it. b/c having high blood pressure and taking that medication is a definite no no. but i don't know anything about topomax
