So What Happened?

I feel like I need to defend myself for asking a question. I don't understand how asking other moms for their opinions of what this could be ( hoping maybe someone else knows that I am talking about from experience) freaks some people out enough to make me feel nothing less than a bad mother because I didn't rush my daughter to the doctor ASAP. Today they are gone. They weren't in her eyes, but about an inch below it. They were bug bites.

The old wives tale I grew up with was "if you watch a dog go poop it will make you get a sty"..
Anyway, that's most likely what it is, she just getting a double or triple one. A warm compress will help them to drain and heal. But you may want to talk to her ped for their expert opinion.

There are about a bazillion kinds of skin bumps, so you will do well to get a doctor's advice if these keep multiplying or causing trouble.

You don't sound like you're describing a stye, though, which generally happens along the lash line, or even inside the eyelid. They tend to become swollen, turning the whole lid red and painful. (I've had one.)

Try googling terms like stye, chalazion, milia, and molluscum contagiosum to get descriptions and pictures that may help you identify the bump.

Don't touch it - take her to the eye doctor. She needs special medicine.

They could be styes, they could be MRSA (one of my grandson's has had them there twice) or they could be something else.

No one here can tell you accurately why she may be getting them or even what they are. Please take her to the doctor, for her sake and the sake of others, they may be highly contagious and/or serious as they keep popping up, and then you will know for sure ✿

You need to take her to the Doctor.
If it is conjunctivitis... (ie: eye infection/sty), it is CONTAGIOUS.

The thing is, there is no point in trying to 'guess' at what it is.
Because, a Doctor needs to see it and then diagnose it. You cannot diagnose this, on your own.

Now your daughter has 2 of them. And more on the way.
Time to take her to the Doctor.

My son had a scattered amount of little white "pimples" all around his left eye when he was 2 1/2... Molluscum, something? First it was a couple, then it was like 15! They didn't go away, so I took him to the doctor. They were from a "virus" and the doctor said I needed to just "pop them" and they would go away! DO NOT DO THAT until you take her to get them checked first of course.

I asked him to demonstrate, and literally, he dug his nails in a squeezed one out. It bled and really hurt. Little by little, over the span of about a week, I popped a few per day-just had my husband help hold him while I dug in a squeezed and he screamed, and then he got some treat like chocolate. Finally, all he had left were red scabs, and those went away and they were all gone! So it may be that. Take her in to be checked!

Stys are in the ducts of the lids, that doesn't sound like what you're talking about.

Check out a picture of Molluscum Contagiosum. It could be that. Lots of kids get it. Don't pop them if that's what it is, they spread!

I had one outside and inside my eyelid.. stys are basically pimples.. but before you diagnose as such.. you may want a doc or eye doctor to check her out. mine was very stubborn to go away.. so the doc prescribed antibiotics.. additionally, he recommended a warm press to soft it and that helped too.. it will eventually ooze...

good luck

No offense to anyone here, but I would not be asking for or taking advice about my kid's eye issue from strangers on an internet forum. No one here can diagnose your DD, let alone give you a remedy or course of treatment. No one here knows what it is, or what it requires.

Please get your child to a doctor.

There could be many things causing this. Get her to her pediatrician but in the mean time...use baby wash to wash both her eyes. Just wet a wash rag with warm water and use some baby wash...be sure to wash from the tear duct to the outer side. You can do this a couple of times a day. It helps clean the germs around the eye and according to my eye doctor and daughter it does soothe them. My daughter is extremely prone to stye's and eye infections. Please do not use clear eyes or anything like that as it can further irritate the eye. Make sure to use a warm compress to. 10 minutes at a time. Wish you and your daughter the best.
