We have traveled by plane a couple of times but this time I am alone with the baby and going for about a 3 1/2 hour flight. Do I want the aisle or the window? He loved the window to look out but the aisle is easy to get up and out of...any advice?

What can I do next?

Hello C., My daughter and granddaughter have logged about 2,000 mile in the past year seeing her family from Florida to Hawaii. She told me that the best thing to know is that no flight she has been on has been thrilled with children in the asile. She also said to ask the stewards for the best place for the little one. Personally I'd go the window and pray that there is no one sitting next to me so you can see out. I knw this is more than what you asked for but she gave additional advice..
She bought a portable DVD player and the little one watched Veggie Tales and the people in front and behind her told her that they really relaxed on the flight just listening to the story and songs ( she has since gotten a headset).
Have a wonderful flight-- I hope its not leaving to early so the little one is cranky.

I traveled with my son at 6 months old it was about a three hour flight ...I sat near the window ...and well put my bags in the middle seat....once people saw the bags and the baby they kept going..lol...unless there is a full flight and when you travel alone there is nowhere to get up and go anyway ...I also flew at night and not on busy travel days if you can help it ....enjoy your trip!

Hi C.,
I traveled with my baby when he was 8 months to the east coast, by myself for 2 weeks, a 8 hour flight with layover. As much as its fun to look out the window, i believe its easier if you can get up and walk the aisle when you need to. If you wanto to show him the outside, there are always the aircraft door windows to look out of on your walk, and trust me, your gonna want to take a stroll. On the other hand, if you take a red-eye flight, the baby can sleep through the whole thing and the window won't be an awful idea to lean up against the plane wall/window, but if its at night there's nothing to look at out the window anyways. If you're extremely lucky like I was, he may just pass out the second the flight takes off, I'll be hoping for you!

Good luck!

go to this site: www.seatguru.com

We used this site for traveling, to pick our plane seats.
Our travel agent uses it too, as well as the airlines.
It is VERY useful to book your seats.

I would pick aisle seat. It is a short flight. Maybe a 2-seater row.

All the best,
Susan
