Pampered Chef has bamboo cooking spoons and other items that are great. I have been using the same set that I have for at least 3 years. They don't crack and allow bacterial and other things to grow inside.
Ok, I know this is a strange one...but I need help. I just recently bought brand new spatulas because the old ones were losing the plastic material in our food. Not so appetizing when you are trying to eat a good meal and you come across plastic in your food. Well, now the new ones are doing it as well. I am almost to the point where I dont want to cook anymore because its just gross. Does anyone have any recommendations for good non melting plastic spatulas? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for all your help...we just got back from Target and bought brand new silicone cooking utensils...no more melted plastic in my food :) Well worth the couple of dollars for each piece.

Pampered Chef always has good products, they even have a line of bamboo spatulas that I love using! They might be a little more expensive, but worth it!
Target carries ones made by Pyrex. I believe they're silicone. I've had mine for 3 years and I just keep buying more because we use them so much we never seem to have any clean ones around! They're cheaper than the pampered chef ones, they work great and they last.
Pampered chef!!! They work awesome and never melt or get stained.....There great!
I highly recommend Pampered Chef spatulas. They are a bit more expensive but are GUARANTEED against melting, discoloring, etc. In my opinion, well worth the extra money spent on them. In fact, I have had mine for well over 5 years and they are still looking and functioning as well as new! Good Luck.

I just got the MOST AWESOME spatula at Target. It's a Kitchenaid spatula with a bamboo handle. It has a curvy side and a straight side and is heat resistant. I think it was like $8 or so. I have also used the Pyrex ones but have gone through 2 broken handles with those ones. I know with bamboo, I won't have anymore broken handles!
I agree with all the people don't buy cheap ones I love mine from pampered chef they don't stain either.

have you tried pampered chef or useing wooden spatultas
plastic spatulas are not designed for high heat cooking. flipping pancakes maybe. use metal. or, if your pans are non-stick, use wood utensils.
PAMPERED CHEF RULES!! I LOVE MINE I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT SIZES! F.
The pampered chef ones are good...I dont even sell pampered chef.
Buy silicone. You should be able to get them at Target, and they withstand heat up to about 500 degrees. Plus they won't leach into your food which isn't the most healthy thing in the world. :)
Good luck!
Silicone spatulas most are heat tolerant to 600 degrees i got mine at Target and just bought some for my sister in laws b-day I have had mine almost 3 years and no melting, chuncking or anything Mine are the Pyrex about $2 a spatula but very well worth it and they come in all sizes and colors.
Pampered Chef, hands down.... WELL worth the money spent!

I would say silicone ones are best. We're hard on everything, and ours still look good after two years.
I have to vote for Pampered Chef, too!
Silicone! They are awesome & you can buy them just about anywhere now-even Marshall's! They cost a little more but you won't be replacing them all of the time so in the long run they are cheaper!
I have both pampered chef and william sonoma spatulas and haven't ever had any problems.
pampered chef has great products
Glad to hear you bought the silicone spatulas, that was what I was going to suggest.
Have a great holiday.
I definatley recommend Pampered Chef, they have great plastic ones as well as the bamboo ones are great too.
check out the pampered chef ones. They are a little spendy, but they as great. You can even use them while cooking. They do not discolor in tomato sauce. I have had mine for 5 years of better & they still are in great shape. I recommend almost all pampered chef stuff. It is good quality stuff. I do not sell it but you can go on the internet pamperedchef.com
