I am single mom of a 2 yr old. daughter. We are seeking a playgroup in our area (Portage Park area - Northwest side of Chicago). I think it would great if my daughter could play with some children around her age since there is nobody by my house and also I hope to meet some nice "mommies" to talk to : ) Does anyone know of any playgrops in or around my this area?
I have a 20 month old daughter we live at Irving and Harlem and would be open for a playdate. I am a married stay at home mom of one.
I run the playgroup mentioned at Jefferson Park Lutheran Church-- Time with Tots. It is every Monday, 9:30-12, no registration, and pay as you go (3 dollars for first child, one dollar for every child after.) They also have a free puppet and story time every Thursday from 9:30- 10:30, and a week long vacation bible school that is great.

We've gone to Time for Tots at Jefferson Park Lutheran Church for two years and loved it (in school now). The Pastor of the church is very nice. You do not have to be a member of the church. The group is structured (open gym, snack, craft) but loose enough to be fun. Met great moms there - still friends with two of them. Pay as you go, no registration fees, etc. The church is on Northwest Highway (across the street from the Jefferson Park Metra station--some people don't know NWHwy still runs back there).
