Playgyms and Swing Set Recommendations?

I've decided I want to get a swing set or play gym for my 2 year old. I have found a few used sets that people are willing to give me for free, but my mother would feel more comfortable if the kids have something new. Our budget is limited to probably $500-700.

Recommendations?

In 2000, we paid upwards of $2700 for a Woodlawn set. Great quality, etc.

I sold it this past Christmas for $400. It was still in great shape (we took care of it).

You might look into Craigslist or a place that might have something like this advertised.

We recently bought this one from Toys R Us: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4044821

We love it. It was on sale when we bought it for $500. Normal price is $700. It's nice that it has a real wood roof instead of the canvas on top. My only concern for you is that it might be a little old for a two year old, but your kids will definitely grow into it. We also like that it has a smaller footprint than most comparable play sets but still has all the features.

The only thing about it is that it took forever to put it together. If you buy this, definitely read the reviews for tips on how to save time (e.g., label the parts before you start). The manual said it should take two people 8-10 hours to put together. It was about double for us.

We have moved 6 times in 15 years and have had 6 different wooden sets from Lowe's or Home Depot whichever is closest to the particular house we live in. My husband has become quite adept at putting them together. You buy the plans for the sets then they have all the hardware and wood you need.
We are planning to buy another this summer as we are moving again.

I read tons of reviews before I bought anything. That would be my biggest suggestion is go to Amazon or something and read reviews. You can save yourself a lot of time, trouble and money that way. =)
