Our park district offers many programs. And in association w/ that so does our childrens museum.
Not sure about the libraries.
So far we have not taken advantage of any of it though.
Please share if your hometown has activities for homeschoolers through library and park district.
Thank you very much!

I haven't found any, but the Glen Ellyn YMCA does a gym and swim program that is very reasonable.
Sorry - I started to answer, because I read "homeshoolers" as toddlers. I don't know why. Anyway, I have no idea if we have stuff for homeschoolers and mamapedia doesn't let me delete my response..
I am not a homeschooler but have many friends that are. I see groups getting together for P.E. in our local parks, co-op settings for specific subject/grade level and there are classes and activities at our Rec. Center during the school day hours specific for homeschooling families. There appears to be a great support out in my neck of the woods for homeschoolers.
Good luck and best wishes!
Our area has tons.
Not through the library... but through community centers. They're either privately operated classes (parents or other pros putting on 12 week courses... one in particular has over 40 classes every quarter listed, but many others have 6-10), or daytime continuations of 'afterschool' classes/sports.
Where MOST of the daytime classes are offered, however, is through private businesses, and they're at a *major* discount, most of the time. Like the artschool where it's $60 for the daytime class, but $120 for the afterschool class, or drama school for 230 1pm weekday class instead of 330 for the sat class, or snowboarding at $100 for 4 hours, instead of $100 for 1 hour on the weekend. Pick any kind of "kid" class, from gymnastics to music to art to languages and business have caught on that there is a HUGE market. Which is very helpful to many of them, since there are
a) so many dual income families in our area (aka kids in daycare until 6pm) &
b) schools don't get out until 330 or 430.
Which means that before they started having reduced rate daytime classes, they business hours were limited to 4pm-8pm, or toddlers only -many of which don't take/teach toddlers.
Homeschoolers in our area make up the 2nd largest "district", since our county has over 20,000 registered homeschoolers... and there are far more that are NOT registered (because registration isn't required until they're 7.
