Possible Diagnosis on 2 Second Trimester Losses

I am a mother of three healthy kids. My pregnancies were completely normal. This year I have lost two pregnancies at 15 weeks. I went in for a normal OB appointment with no signs or symptoms of anything wrong. Then found out both times my babies had died. Both times I was induced into labor. My dr. Can find nothing specifically wrong with me or the babies. All tests come back normal alone with genetic testing. I obviously am able to have healthy children. These last two happened at the age of 31. Has anyone els had this happen to them? What was your diagnosis? I am frustrated that the medical world is telling me there is nothing wrong when clearly there has to be a reason to have two second trimester losses like this. Please give me your thoughts.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for your responses. I am waitingn to see all the tests come back for this loss still. Last time my progesterone was normal.... no cervix issues.... no genetic abnormalities. Nothing at all came back hinting to an answer. Im sure the same will happen this time.I am being rreferred to a specialist this coming week to try and seek more answers. If anyone else has had this problem and can offer another idea it would be appreciated. I know there are no Dr.s Here... and no one knows my medical history I just am trying to see if someone els may have been through this an been given a definitive answere

I had two miscarriages at around 13 weeks and the doctor suspected they may have been caused by uterine fibroids.

It could be anything.
Talk to a fertility specialist.
Some people have difficulty getting pregnant and some people have difficulty staying pregnant and there are just so many factors.
There are also women who have quite a few miscarriages and then have healthy babies.

There are a lot of people coming to this site for medical advice but no one here is a doctor and no one on any web site is going to know your health history and make any sort of reliable diagnosis.
If you are concerned, please see a doctor.

Oh I am so sorry you have had these tragedies. Of course we cannot diagnose anything but it sounds like cervical incompetence is not on the list of possibilities. So the suggestion below to have a stitch put in is probably not appropriate. You are not miscarrying, you are having fetal demise.

I'd see a high risk pregnancy specialist and I'd get any kind of grief counseling or secondary infertility support your can find.

I'm so sorry, mum. I have not had this happen to me, but a family member did. She went to a specialist and they found that she was low on progesterone. With supplements, she was able to carry a pregnancy to term.

I don't think that this kind of thing is part of genetic testing. I think you need a different kind of testing. I'd start by talking to your doctor about that. And keep taking pregnancy vitamins to help build you up.

I'm so sorry for your losses. See an immunologist and or a hematologist. It may be a clotting problem such as Factor 5 deficiency or Mthfr pathway issues. Best wishes for you.

A friend of mine lost two babies. Both at the start of the 2nd trimester. They finally discovered that when she was pregnant her insulin went all out of wack. Not gestational diabetes, no problems with blood sugar at all. Just insulin levels that weren't normal. Next time she got pregnant they started her on some diabetic meds. She now has three beautiful little girls.

DUghter in law lost four at between 14 and 16 weeks after having four normal pregnancies. Do you have a clotting problem blood becomes thickened and clots form in the placenta? That seems to bea big problem for many and the loss is usually within that time frame. I am so sorry for your losses
