Possibly Looking for a New Pre-school in 95124 Area

My daughter has been going to the same pre-school since she was 2-1/2. She just turned 4 yesterday. She has always been a bit of a handful off and on. When they ask her to do something and she doesn't want to do it she screeches at the top of her lungs. She has just started in the last month sometimes hitting other children. I'm really not sure where it's coming from because we don't hit at home. Anyway, I've been wondering if she might either need a more structured pre-school or a smaller one.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for schools please let me know. We are near Leigh High school but are willing to travel a bit if we need to. Not even sure moving is the answer, but just putting out the feelers.

What can I do next?

Don't know if this works for your schedule but my kids both went to San Jose Parents Participating preschool, it does require that you work in the classroom one day a week. It has a fairly laid back style as it follows the NAEYC guidlines of free play. There are many things the kids can do, play outside, eat snack, art projects, science, etc. There is a circle time, though the kids can choose not to participate. My youngest finished preschool 3 years ago but if I had another one I would go back. It is located next to the senior center in willow glenn on Radio Ave just north of Curtner.
Good Luck

Creative Habitit is a nice place. They may work for you. The classes are pretty small and it is very organized. Fun and playful, but organized and educational.

I love Action Day/Primary Plus on Moorpark and Winchester. A great teacher for the four year olds is Mr. Aguedo. He is wonderful and patient. He is also bilingual and teaches Spanish. They have a lot of extra stuff they offer like computer classes, dance and sports.

Clement School. (go to Clementschool.com for infor.)
On Branham Ave in between Almaden and Pearl. It's rated #1 in Bay Area Parent. The cost is kinda high. For three days a week it's about $450 a month. They do have a two day program which is a little cheaper.

I've sent my three kids there and they love it. They are good with kids that have outbursts such as your daughter. Give them a try.
