I am looking to find the best potty chair for my 2 yr old boy. The guard that is on the chair we currently have is too short. I been looking all over and am getting mixed reviews on numerous chairs. Does anyone know of a good chair? My son has been using the potty at my sitters for the past 2 weeks and I want to really focus on it at home now. My son is average height and weight for his age. Thanks for your help

My son loves the frog potty as well. He still uses it 9 months later! I'm in no rush to move him to the big toilet. I know he will get there on his own as he has done everything in steps. He also will go on the big toilet when we are out so he can use his frog potty at home as long as he wants! Anyway, my point is that he loves it and its comfortable as others have said. Good luck.

My son has been using his fisher price frog potty since he was 18 months old and he loves it. He sits on it to potty and watch tv, so you know its comfortable, lol. Plus, it has a great splash guard. I bought mine at target for $10 but you can also find it on amazon

We also have the frog potty. My son loves it and he gets excited that he gets to take his wee to the big potty and pour it down and flush! Its convenient for trips, too, since he is comofrtable going wee in it and we can just throw it in the car with us!

You may just want to go ahead and get a seat for the toilet. My son preferred the ones with handles, so he could steady himself, but avoid the ones with a spray protector, they can hurt little boys. One Step Ahead has a nice one with a built in step stool, it helps them be more independent.

Good luck as you start on this milestone! My son got interested in the potty right before he turned 2, and he only pooped himself 2 or 3 times over the next year - but it took OVER a year for him to get to the potty consistently to pee. Can I suggest that you skip pullups, and go straight from diapers to underwear? I wish I had done that with my son, the pullups just seem to confuse kids. Once we switched him to underwear, he stayed dry most of the day, it was just laziness because he knew he could pee in the pullup if he didn't feel like leaving his toys to go to the potty.

I second the Froggy Potty from Fisher Price. Target or Walmart for $10-$12. I do home childcare so have used many seats over the years. My goal is to the toilet ASAP, so I don't use a potty seat very long (a few weeks maybe)..but this is the best one for me! Easy to clean, tall front for the boy thing...comfy it seems for them! It also makes them sort of sit wide, which I think makes boys sort of "tip" forward a bit, or they at least can, to help with that over spray thing! Its the best one for cleaning, boy guard and ease that I have had in 14 years of daycare..and cheap

I train kids at about age 2 with a boot camp style 3 day method ideal (parents begin at home and I follow up and support fully at daycare)....so mine are young usually..and they love the fun styling of the Froggy!
