Potty Seat Recommendations - Glenview,IL

I am looking for recommendations on potty seats with ladders attached that sit on top of the toilet. It seems that many of the reviews I have read for different potty seats are made with very flimsy plastic. Any suggestions?

Buy the cheapest potty ring you find to go on top of your potty. Get a stool so they can step up. Personally I think the little potty chairs are a waste. Who wants to carry around a potty chair every where you go, plus you have to clean them out every time they go...yuck. They can learn just as fast using the regular potty with a seat so they don't fall in. I like the cushy one I bought at walmart for like five bucks, it has little yellow duckies on it. When you are out and use public potties, they sell disposable covers or fold up plastic seat toppers you can carry in your purse until they are big enough to balance themselves. You will be saving yourself the hassle of dragging a potty all over town.

we got a seat that had a ring that you could put on the big potty if you wanted. my son prefered one over the other at different times (and a stool). much less to clean, ewe.

Another vote for the step stool and ring. To me, the potty chair seemed more like a toy and I had this fear of her taking whatever she put into the potty seat out of it to play with. (Plus, they see you pick up the plastic container and dump it in the toilet, so it's not unreasonable to think they will pick it up and dump it somewhere they should not) We still use the step stool now for teeth brushing & hand washing.

We bought a toilet seat from One Step Ahead. It is in place of your existing toilet seat. It has a small seat that you lower for kids. It is wonderful. I hated the dirty potty rings. My son put it on his head and then i was done with it ! It is about $50 but it is so worth it. Good luck:)
