Hi E.,
Here's my mommy advice and daycare provider advice...
Take a step back let it rest for a couple of weeks, don't say a word about it. Whatever he is in such as pullups/diaper just keep him in it. You are in the all to famous potty struggle he holds th power to go potty and you want him to go potty.
In a few weeks from now on a monday morning tell him no more pullups/diapers. Put him staright into big boy underwear not the little kid kind either. Take him to walmart/kmart let him pick out his favorite chacters. Don't go backwards when you do this. If he pees in them tell him remember we go pee in the potty not on bob (bob the builder) or on spiderman. change his clothes and go on about your day. You may have lots of laundry to do by the end of the day or you may have none.
I did it this way with all my kids (including the daycare kids I have potty trained) the 2 oldest are boys and my 3rd is a girl I had them all potty trained with in a week of doing this and 3 accidents the whole first week. I would ask him every 30 minutes or so. Ask him do you need to go potty and take him a few times even if he says no. Tke him when you have to go. Hope this helps you. W.
