I am working on a surprise baby shower for my cousin. She is not finding out the sex of the baby so I was thinking about doing a couple of tests or games to help her figure out if it is a boy or girl. I ran the idea by her and she loved it!
So what tests or games worked for you? What things were good predictors?

The OJ test. It worked for me but not until earlier in the pregnancy. If she can tolerate OJ it's a boy and if she can't it's a girl. It's silly but fun!
You need to get the book Expecting? (I think that is the name on the cover Boy or Girl is written and the book is purple and yellow) it has a bunch of fun things to do trying to find out the sex of the baby. It also had a chinese conception chart that uses the mothers age at conception,and month of conception to find the sex of the baby!!!! That was corrcect for my 3 kids!!!

I used the ring test on mine. I just put my wedding band on a necklace and held it very straight above my stomach. If the ring goes in circles, it's a girl and if it goes back and forth it's a boy.
There is also something on a I believe Chinese Calendar online. If you conceive during a certain month and depending on your age will determine if you are having a boy or girl. I did both of these and mine was correct.......I had a girl!

For me personaly, the ring and the string test worked with me and all my friends, except we held it over the palm of our hands, but never tried it over the belly as suggested in the wives tales. If you let it go though it's whole cycle over the palm of your hand (which may take a miniute or so) it will go though all the children you'll have, when it's done, it will just stop swining, then start swinging the cycle again.

Chinese Lunar Calendar:
The Chinese lunar calendar is a calendar that can be used to predict the sex of your baby. It takes the age when you conceived and your date of conception into consideration. From these dates, it can predict if you will have a boy or girl.

It has some sort of powder in it this cup and she has to pee in it and if it turns green its a boy and if it turns orange its a girl. My girlfriends have used it and its been right every time. I bought one and took it a few weeks ago and it said I was having a boy! We'll soon find out at my ultrasound! Anyway, cute idea, comes in an adorable box, and women tend to love watching it foam up and then turn a color!
