B.B.
My suggestion comes too late for you, but it may help someone else. I signed up for AFLAC (the duck commercials) when I was 5 months pregnant with triplets. They pay cash to you for every day you are in the hospital. After the babies were born, I was paid in cash for not only all of my hospital days, but for each day that each baby spent in the hospital. After paying the balance left by our insurance, we still came home with enough money in our pockets to buy a bigger car. I know that they have changed their regulations. You now have to be signed up for the insurance BEFORE you get pregnant--in fact, they won't pay on a baby born before the policy has been in place for 10 months. Than means that you have to sign up at least a month before getting pregnant and they won't pay on a baby that is born early if it makes you miss the 10 month mark. That being said, the insurance is cheap. If you are planning to get pregnant you should seriously consider signing up!
