Pregnancy Pains

Congrats! I am pregnant with my first and I was very concerned because I have had a miscarriage before. I went straight to the Doctor with the same pain and everything was fine-- I'm now 15 weeks and we just found out it is a girl. She told me that when things are moving around there can be pain, just as long as there is no bleeding.

When i was pregnant, i experienced a lot of that same pain..it was from pressure on my lower spine...on my ciatic nerve so i started seeing my chiropractor. If you don't see one, i can give you the name of mine, i live in Flower Mound. Seeing a chiro during prego days can help with labor pain!! :)

If it is your hip then it might be your sciatic, I had that with both pregnancies and it brings you to your knees when it acts up. I had a pre-natal massage and told the masseuse and she worked on it and I never had the pain for the rest of my pregnancy. However, confirm with your doctor that is what it is first.

I know there is a nerve in that area that can be pinched during pregnancy but I'm not sure if that is suppose to be during later stages or if it can happen anytime during the pregnancy. Definetly talk to your OBGYN! Congrats!

if it is a tubal and ruptures then you will be in trouble. Call your doctor and make another appt asap. I was pregnant several years ago and the tests kept coming back negative and was still having the pains and they did not find out i was pregnant till my tube ruptured and then i had to have an emergency hysterectomy. please go to the doctor just to be safe

I had the same problem with my second, it was sciatic pain. It continued through out most of the pregnancy and I still sometimes have problems (my daughter is about to turn 2). It got so bad that I could barely sit but at about 7 months she shifted and it let up for the rest of the pregnancy.

Are the pains actually on your hip or more around your right ovary ? It could be the pregnacy cyst that everyone gets. Whichever ovary pushed out the egg that was fertilized develops a small cyst on it and it can cause pain. The cyst goes away on its own and the pain is usually felt in the first trimester. I had that pain with all of my pregnancies.
Talk to your OB and see what she/he says. You can get a vaginal ultrasound to make sure it isn't ectopic.

it could be your sciatic nerve , does the pain go all the way to your calf . i have had the pregancy and i still suffer from this problem

i would go see your OB immediately! that could be absolutely nothing, but could be serious. don't wait.

Jen, you could possibly have a kidney or UT infection. I suggest going to a doctor to have a urine test done, you may need some antibiotics to clear it up.

Go to your doctor soon to make sure nothing is wrong if you feel something may be. My sister-in-law had a tubal and it ruptured her fallopian tube. Very painful for her and luckily it didn't completely ruin her fallopian tube. Her doctor said if they would have caught it early enough they could have prevented the rupture which can ruin that tube completely! Go to your doctor and have it checked out even if it might be nothing!!

Always call your dr when you are pregnant and experiencing any pain. Tubal pregnancys if it ruptures, will destroy your tube so please call the dr.

Congrats!! How exciting for you.
If the doc did a sono to confirm you are having twins, they would have seen where the babies implanted inside your womb. If one was tubal they would have seen it. More than anything else, when your body becomes pregnant you release all kinds of hormones. One of those hormones (can’t remember which one) relaxes the ligaments in your entire body, but especially your hips…where they have to come out! All that shifting can cause the muscle that attaches from the lower back, kinda where a dimple would be on your back to the front, right under the hip bone to stretch more than it’s ever had to. Super normal. Not to bum you out, but the bigger you get the more stretch there will be!
There are some great yoga books you can get that will help to stretch and open that whole area. You can also do chiropractic or acupuncture. I’ve did both with all three of mine. If you want number, let me know and I’ll forward. I found it helps a lot, but still your body is transforming in the most special and beautiful way! Enjoy the lives you are growing!

Yes, I had this every single moment of everyday even until I was 9 months. It is called a round ligament pain . Since you have a growing baby inside your womb , your uterus is stretching and tying to again accomadate enough room for your baby. So you will find that when you are sitting and get up to fast you will feel a tug and crouch down in pain. I really doubt it is a tubal just because I thought the same thing, and I ended up going to the doctor because I was in constant fear. Turned out it was a round ligament pain. And then towards the end of my pregnancy I pulled my right muscle on my hip and found it very hard to walk. So no worries. Look it up or talk to your OBGYN about it. CONGRATULATIONS and good luck !

I would go to a doctor as soon as possible. They are the only ones than can truly help you with this.

Hi J.. I had two tubal pregnancies last year. The first one I had very bad pain in my side (they didn't think it had anything to do with the pregnancy though). The second one I didn't have any pain, just abnormal bleeding. Go have your blood work checked. They can tell if it is a normal pregnancy by the hormone levels. If they find it quickly, they may be able to give you a shot instead of going through surgery. Good luck!

Congrats! When I was pregnant with both of my kids I had lots of problems with my syatic (i'm not sure of the correct spelling) nerve. It's the nerve that runs down the back of you buttucks and down both legs, I'm not sure if it runs down your back, too. Most of the time I felt the pain in my legs, and other times the pain would be all over from my hips down. It is very painful at times. I would double-check with you doctor, though. First of all, when in doubt GET CHECKED OUT! I had a lot of sciatic pain with my pregnancies. Hopefully, it's just something like that. But, please, let someone with medical training check you out (midwife, doctor, etc.).

Check with your doctor first, but it sounds similar to what I had with my two youngest (18 months apart). It turned out my sacral nerve was out which caused my hip to rotate. I waited till my baby was 7 months old before doing anything about it and now go to a chiropracter 3 times a week trying to get it fixed. Stay on top of it. My ob recommended a chiro that worked with pregnant women but I never took the time.

The most important thing to do is go to the doctor. I have had two tubals both requiring surgery. Tubal pregnancies can be life threatening... so you should just call your doctors office and ask them to give you a sonogram to see that the baby is in the right place in utero. Best of luck.

i had the same pains!! and oh do they hurt! i freaked out and talked to the doctor and you should do the same.....but i also realized i got them more when i waited to go to the bathroom or got up weird, the doctor told me it was just growing pains.

when i was pregnant with my 1st born, i have the same pressure pains on my right rib. my doctor said it was the way my baby sit on my oval. her head was on top most of the time, and she was foot long bleech baby. if u can do some exercise, like up side down at night, it might help you.

I got the same pains when pregnant. It turned out that a cyst on my ovary had ruptured. This is very common during pregnancy. Pray about it and then go to the doctor and talk about it. It is probably nothing. Good luck.

I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and is having the same symptoms. I did go on to WebMD for info. and found that it could be consistant with a tubal or with something called round ligament pain. They described that the tendons that hold the uterus in place get elongated and can cause pain similar to what you are describing. I am due to go to my OB next week. I also feel that I am having some pain similar to uterine cramps or tightening. Please let me know what you find out.-S. C.

I would talk to my doc about it, but I also had these pains, and it turned out to be nothing. I was freaked out about the tubal thing too, but I guess it was just ligament pain. Good luck and congrats!!

It is probably just ligament pain. It happens earlier and is a little more severe with each pregnancy. Go see your doc to put your mind at ease.
