I am having trouble getting comfortable at night. I am just about 5 1/2 months along, not big at all. But I like to sleep on my side and it just not as comfortable as it use to be. I am wondering if a pregnancy pillow would help and if anyone can suggest a good one to use...
Thanks :)

What can I do next?

I went to walmart and just bought a body pillow and a pillow case cover and used that and it worked perfectly - so well in fact that I was never a side sleeper until I was preggo and now I can't sleep any other way. My husband and I both use a body pillow at night. They are so comfortable! Good luck! Been there!

Definitely the horseshoe-shaped "Snoogle" pillow! I tried EVERY other alternative--none were as good. If you like to switch sides in the middle of the night, it can be difficult, but I'm sure you get up to potty often, so you can just make the switch then!

I'm a side sleeper as well and I actually just used regular king size bed pillows. I put one under my belly and smaller pillow between my legs and one behind my back. It worked like a charm until the weight of baby made it impossible to lay on my side (it would do funky things to my pelvis the next day) but that was much further along!

Good Luck!

It will definitely help...I couldn't live without mine. I did not buy an expensive "pregnancy pillow." Instead I bought a body pillow at walmart or target for 10 bucks. It was great.

I had the same trouble, and never bought an actual 'pregnancy pillow' but I always stuck a pillow between my legs when I layed on my side to kind of open up the hips.

Hi A.,
I also had a hard time getting comfortable in bed so I got one of the full length maternity pillows. I loved it. It was shaped like a horse shoe. So I had it for both front and back sides and under my head. So I did have to mess with any other pillows at all. Which made it easy to get in and out of bed to go to the bathroom. I got it a USA Baby in Frisco. It wasn't cheap but I didn't care. I hope this helps.

Definitely get one. I didnt my first pregnancy but did my next two and it made a huge difference and was worth every penny!!!! I got the snoogle kind at Babies R Us. I have heard several people say they bought just a regular body pillow but that didnt work for me because it only gave me support in the front, but the snoogle gave me full back support, a pillow between my knees, and tummy support too and all with just one pillow.

I used a long body length pillow I got at either Linens N Things or Bed Bath and Beyond. The pillow and pillowcase were only $20 total. I am usually a tummy sleeper, so this was golden when I could no longer do that. My husband like it too since it kept me from resting my leg on him.
