I am a little concerned. My periods have usually occured around the 18th or 19th of the month; until last month it came early on the 13th. Anyway, I experienced some vomiting (which is extremely rare for me) the night before my period last month (the 12th) and then the bleeding arrived the next day. Well, this month I am going on 7 days late, which is the latest I have ever been. Side note: I had sex this month on the 12th and the condom broke! Here is what I'm wondering... is it possible that i was pregnant last month but just recieved my period anyway? or is it possible that i could have gotten pregnant the day before my period was due (when the condom broke)? I know the usual advice is to just take a home pregnancy test; however, i took 2 with my son and the line was so faint i ended up having to see a doctor anyway. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this

What can I do next?

Hi C., I had my period for 3 months with my first son. They weren't quite normal ones but I did have them.

Try the digital pregnancy tests. These are the only tests that showed positive for me.

C.,
I would say go ahead and get a pregnancy test. When I got pregnant with my son, the line was very faint as well, and I also miscarried once that the line was very faint...but if there are 2 lines, no matter how faint they are, my guess is that you are pregnant. I don't think you can get pregnant the day before your period starts, but it is possible to be pregnant and still have a period. If your period was lighter than usual or shorter than usual last time that could be an indication too.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

If you're under alot of stress, it will affect your hormone levels and can make you late or miss your period. With my first pregnancy I still got my period for the first 4mo, it was just lighter than normal. So it could go either way, but based on what you've said I would assume the former before the latter. I hope everything works out for you!

Hey C., I had one last period with both of my pregnancies with my girls so it is possible that you could have been pregnant before. Some people, as Im sure you know continue to have their periods throughout the whole pregnancy (that would so suck) but you should take a test. By the way, with both of my daughters, I bought the Dollar General brand "baby test" for $1 and they were both correct positives. Try not to stress to much. Tyler needs a little companion anyway right!!! Hope this helps.

I have 2 sisters the had 3 periods while they were pregent, and it sounds like you may be to, all you need to do now is confirm it with you're doctor or health clinic.

The bleeding you had could have been the egg implanting in your uterus. I would take a pregnancy test. Even if the line is faint...you are pregnant. It's just picking up a low level of hormones. Good luck!!

It would be nearly impossible to get pregnant the day before you get your period - the egg has traveled too far to implant. You may however have been pregnant from the month before and still gotten your period. I would go to your doctor or a clinic, for about $10 you'll know for sure. I took 2 home pregnancy tests with my second child. Both came out negative (5 weeks late and 8 weeks late) and I was nearly 3 mos. along before I knew for sure (and that was after having blood drawn at my obgyn's office!)

You could just be experiencing irregular periods.I had irregular periods most of my life and was not sure when I was pregnant with my last 4 pregnantcies.I have 4 living children my oldest two I had regular periods then.I was 22 after the birth of my second child. But after that my periods were always messed up.I always had to consult a doctor to be sure I was pregnant.I had two miscarriges. The first miscarrige I did not even know I was pregnant because of my irregular periods.

I had a similar situation. I got pregnant the same week I had my period, so it was an unusual situation. I had a period, but it was a little lighter and shorter than usual. I would still take the test before you see the doctor though, they will ask you to take one anyway. Good luck with everything!

Hi C. !
Absolutely anything is possible. Usually any line in a pregnancy test is a positive. I don't know how often you have sex, but sometimes if you don't have sex regularly then it can cause your period to start early. It could also be stress from thinking you are might be pregnant.
I would go and buy a pregnancy test if I was really worried, or just give it a few more days.
I hope things work out for you.

If you think you may be pregnant go see your doctor to see if you are or not. That would be my best advice to you. That way you can have the piece of mind.
