So my dr's office is closed fridays and I can't find anything really helpful on the internet about this. All day I've had this feeling of something in my vagina, almost like a swelling or like a ball is stuck up there(not that I know what it feels like!). I'm not really having contractions like normal, no discharge, just what I assume is round ligament pain and what feels like diarrhea pain, without diarrhea, I am a bit constipated-sorry for the tmi! Anyone ever heard of this? I'm 29 weeks and leaving for vaction in 12 hrs so I don't want to go to the hospital unless necessary but I am uncomfortable! Baby seems to be moving fine-just been SUPER active the last 2 days. TIA Ladies!

What can I do next?

I get this every pregnancy...for me it's vericose veins...down there. You can get a mirror (I would recommend doing this AFTER you've eaten and digested sufficiently)...and take a look and see if that's what it is. It does sound exactly like what I get...

Please don't travel without talking to your on call OB first! It is probably nothing, but better safe than sorry.

i think it would bug me that my OB is closed on Friday's. My Ob is open a half day on Friday.

Have you thought about calling the advice nurse? The doctor SHOULD be on-call.

I personally experienced something SIMILAR - my son was in presentation position and he head was sitting REALLY low....please call your advice nurse or the doctor on call and tell them what is going on.

Call the nurse advice line

With my son, I always felt like there was something in my vagina. Each time my dr checked me towards the end she was always like, "Wow! He is RIGHT there!"

I'm not sure if it's related or not.

I would call your OBs office, especially since you are leaving for vacation. There will be an after hours service that will get you in contact with someone you can talk to, even if it's not your OB and instead another on call OB.
I would not risk not asking and possible getting checked out. Don't want to risk anything.

That sounds like what I have now (I'm 34 weeks) and had with two of my other pregnancies as well. Like someone below, it is vericose veins in my vagina. I also swell like crazy- getting a mirror is a good idea, then you can see exactly what is going on down there. For me it feels like a TON of pressure and it is always worse when I have walked a lot or stood for an extended amount of time. I don't have vericose veins in my legs, so I don't really have that to compare it to- but if you do, does it feel similar? Otherwise, it can't hurt to call and speak to the OB on call.

Try laying down for awhile with knees elevated witha pillow or something.
Sounds like you have a lot of pressure down there, and I agree it could be prolapse a bit of your bladder.
If you try to reposition things with the elevation it might help.
Sitting and standing arent your friend when that starts happening.
I feel for ya.
My other guess is that you might be a little constipated and have some pressure due to that.....

I would call the doctor just to be sure. I know you're worried about your vacation, but it could be something serious. Better be safe than sorry.

Good luck!

Sounds like something similar I experienced during my second pregnancy. It was my bladder. It was partially prolapsed. You should give your doctor a call.

I had a similar feeling. I agree that you should call the doc. Mine happened to be around the same time as you are at in your pregnancy and it was my pubic bone stretching in the middle to prepare for delivery and my son's head was resting on it. He was there almost the entire rest of my pregnancy and came out with what looked like a halo because he rested on my pubic bone for so long.

it's probably your bladder-go to the ER and get checked out-better to be safe!
