Hello, Im currently not working and I am a single mother with a 5 year old and 6 months pregnant. I recently moved to Texas three months ago. Do anyone know someone or a company that will hire me, just so I can make some extra cash to support my family?

What can I do next?

Many stores are now hiring seasonal help, that might work great for you and them.

I suggest some temps jobs. My daughter worked in a hotel for a few months while someone had their maternity leave. She came back after the baby was born but they cut her hours and made her work the night shift. At a time when night time child care was impossible to find. So she ended up having to quit.

It's hard for an employer to look past the baby bump. They look at that and see "If I hire this person I will no more than get them trained and knowing the job well and they'll be taking off and I'll have to hire another person and train them.

I also suggest a temp agency route OR seasonal work in retail for the upcoming holidays.

I am ex corporate and we always hired employees from the temp pool because it was a win-win for everyone. The temp was able to get a feel for the company and the company was able to get a feel if the temp was a good fit in the organization.

Many companies still hire this way.
