Hi ladies:
I'm almost 4 months pregnant with #2 and I'm taking a big trip out of the country next month. Unfortunately, I'm not a very graceful traveler; I get terrible motion sickness. What safe-for-pregnancy options have you tried for motion sickness? On a side note, I would also like to get a little tan before I go, but I doubt tanning beds are a safe option and I'm not sure that slathering potential toxic self-tanning creams on my body everyday is OK. What are some other options? Thanks, as always, for your great advice!

What can I do next?

I can maybe help with the motion sickness. I get it really bad too. What I have found that helps the most is werthers original candies. When you just start to feel a little blah, pop one in your mouth. It worked for me all the way from Indiana to Pennsylvania. Good luck. Shannon

Sea-Bands are great-and Phenagren-could not live without them!

I am with Beauticontrol and we have some great self tanners-one that is an instant tanner-called Leg Apeal...and the other is Triple Glow which is a lotion that the more you us it the more your tan gradually grows....this one also has anti-aging benefits and makes yoru skin soft for days!!!

Sea-bands are wonderful for handling motion sickness while traveling. They are bands that go around your wrists that have put pressure on a pressure point on your wrist. They are safe for pregnancy and even help out with morning sickness. They can be found in drugstores, Target, etc.

Good luck and safe traveling!

Hi J.!
I'm 5 mon's pregnant and just got back from a trip to Bahamas so I understand your tanning issue and have a great suggestion, but can't help with the motion sickness.

I used Oil of Olay lotion "touch of sun" lotion. It worked wonders! I had so many people ask me about my tan. I was actually tanner before going than coming back! It has a slight odor to it, but not very noticeable to anyone but yourself. I asked several people if I smelled like tanning lotion and nobody said I did. I think I'm just very sensitive to smells. I didn't turn any shades of orange either which I know you can get from some lotions.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!
