So i have had sore breasts for about two weeks now. i have also been going to the bathroom more than usual. My period isn't due until Saturday. I have already taken two pregnancy tests and they both came back negative. I have already had two children and i got a positive result with them on the first test. Am i just being paranoid or should i just wait and see what happens and take another test?

What can I do next?

Well, you should wait. What else are you going to do? Sex=you can get pregnant. We aren't physics. What do you want us to say?

My magic 8 ball says... YES. You are or are not pregnant.

There are a few reasons for the symptoms you're describing. Pregnancy is only one of them. You have nearly a week before your period is due and honestly, pregnancy tests aren't going to be accurate enough until you're right on top of your period being due or you're late. Those tests pick up nearly any amount of pregnancy hormone, including chemical pregnancies where the body simply has elevated hormones and only "thinks" it's pregnant when it's not... so chances are if you're testing negative right now you're either not pregnant or you don't have enough pregnancy hormone built up in your system.

In other words, you need to wait until at least Saturday to know for sure. And even then you may need a blood test from your OB/GYN.

What exactly are the alternatives to waiting and taking another test?

Well, biologically speaking, all you really can do is wait and see. Don't psych yourself out over it. Most prego tests may not be sensitive enough to detect the small amounts of hormones BEFORE your usual cycle will start.

Just FYI, this is the kind of question that may get a bit of teasing. My first response in my head was "I don't know, I don't live in your uterus." Be prepared...

If your period isn't due until Saturday then you couldn't possibly be having pregnancy symptoms yet. Sore breasts are also a sign of PMS. Not sure about the frequent urination, I don't see how that relates to pregnancy (at least not until you have a big baby pushing up on your bladder.) Do you think you may have a UTI? I would watch that, that can get very painful if not treated right away.
I get that you want to be pregnant so you're looking for signs here but you're just going to have to do what everyone else does and WAIT until you can actually take a test and get an accurate reading.

I am chuckling. This question is asked many times. Really, what are the alternatives? Certainly none of us can tell if you're pregnant or not.

I suggest that you stop thinking about it. You're only making yourself anxious and there is absolutely nothing you can do until later.

BTW I've never been pregnant, am now thru menopause and still get sore breasts from time to time. And even when I was young I had times when I need to go to the bathroom more often. For the frequent peeing, one thing that causes that is some foods and drinks. For the sore breasts, pregnancy is not the only thing that causes our hormones to fluctuate.

I'm dying Nervy Girl "I don't know. I don't live in your uterus." Classic.

Best wishes. I hope this turns out the way you want it to!

Welcome to mamapedia!!

IF you have had unprotected sex - then yes - you can be pregnant.

If you period is NOT due until Saturday - you have tested too early.

If you take another test before your period is considered late, you are wasting money. Can you afford to waste money like that?

You could have an STD - You could have an UTI - we aren't doctor's on here and even if we were, we couldn't give you medical directives, only to tell you see your OB/GYN and get a blood test as that's the most accurate way to know.

So. BREATHE....wait until next week. Go see your OB/GYN.
