I am 7 months pregnant.. Thank God! and I was wondering.. if you mamis out there can share with me.. what you think about the following:.. When we are pregnant with child and we still don't know the "Sex".. and your other child (A 2yr. old boy named Jeremiah in this case) is constantly kissing my belly.. Telling me..Mama I wanna kiss baby?... ( so cute ) what would you ladies think we are having? Another Boy? or Girl? ;)` ..

I have heard sooooooooo many different opinions and I know every pregnancy is different, no matter the sex you are having.. but I thought I would share and see what you all have to say! Enlighten me! ;)

I don't think the affection of a sibling or loving on the belly has any indication of the gender of the baby.

I have never heard such an old wives tale, but my daughter was very affectionate towards the baby/belly and I had/am having girls.

Guess what? There's no way to know with absolute certainty. People who suggest otherwise are most likely just passing on some old wives tales. I had a woman ask us very seriously "Do you want to know what you are having?" Then she authoritatively tells us a boy. We had a girl! I even know a a little boy whose room is painted pink because the Dr., after viewing the ultrasound, told the parents they were having a girl. Only God knows for sure until that wonderful day when you see for yourself. When I was pregnant and people would ask me what we were having I would just smile and say "a baby!" IMHI surprises are the best!! When I gave birth to my second child I was so happy I just held my baby close to me until a couple min. passed and my four year old daughter (who was at the birth) asked me to please check if we had a boy or a girl!! I was right... we had "a baby" & that seemed good enough for me at the time. Of course when I checked I was happy to see I had a sweet baby girl. Congratulations L., enjoy your precious gifts from God however they come wrapped!! : )

Don't know about any old wives tales. Just so happy that your baby is embracing his new sibling. Congratulations on your pregnancy! You are truly blessed!

I've heard that when the new baby is of the opposite sex, the current baby will be overly clingy to Mommy. I'm due in early September and according to the ultrasound, it's supposed to be a boy. My little girl is VERY attached and clingy, but then she always has been. (I think it's due to her being breastfed for 16+ months.) Whatever your baby is is, I hope he or she is perfect and healthy.

My #2 kissed my belly with #3 CONSTANTLY and he's not a very affectionate kid - unless HE wants it....reminds me of a cat...all on his terms. Anyway, the moment he saw his sister born, he leaned into the birth tub and kissed her on her head. He never kissed my belly again. He totally got it and has not stopped kissing her since. Of course, #1 kissed #2 constantly, but never kissed my belly when I was pregnant. Who knows? But he'll sure be a good big brother.

We didn't know the sex of any of our babies. I loved not knowing. I'll know for the rest of my life, so 9 months was nothing to wait and it made labor all that sweeter - and we never did any ultrasounds.

Here's my 'old wive's tale'. If the toddler is clingy/overly loving - the baby is opposite sex. If toddler is indifferent/angry over pregnancy, baby is same sex. Has held true for my pregnancies - but again, just an old wive's tale.

Well that is a very cute situation i myself have my boy and my girl aswell no according to our latin beleifs we beleive the opposite sex is not always attached to belly meaning :when i got pregnant with my boy i had already had my girl she hated me through all my pregnacy weird huh!! But yes she was infact really jealous she wouldn't let me hold her in my arms it was a rough experience!! But to my thinking if its a girl the boy is always attached to mommy's belly's why? Because they feel the tendernes of wanting to protect.it may sound weird but i just thought perhaps you may wanted to know this now these are just our latin beleives! I just wanted to share this with you and good luck to you and your family.godbless you all

I know some old wives tale
1. If ur face didnt change its a girl. If ur face changed, like ur nose got bigger or some sort, its a boy.
2. If u hve a severe morning sickness or long lasting morning sickness u are likely to give birth to a girl. ( this happend to me)
But then theres always ultrasound! I had mine when i wS 6 months pregnant. And they find out its a girl. And she is a girl. :)
Also, every woman is different.

Good luck on ur 2nd baby
