Pregnant..or Stress?

Hey ladies! I had my last period at the end of November. I am usually pretty regular and get mine almost the same time every month. But I havent had it. I spotted a little bit for 2 days about a week ago, it was like a brownish red. It was not much, and I just thought it was the onset of my period, but it went away. Since then, I have had mild cramps and tender breasts and certain smells have been making me nauseous. Obviously all of those symptoms made me think that I might be pregnant, so I took a test this morning. It was negative. So, now Im not sure what to do...I guess just wait it out?? Could it just be from stress?? Hubby and I have been arguing a little bit lately, but nothing too serious. He has seasonal bi-polar and the winters are hard on him. He gets mad easily and when he does it is stressful around here. But, he's going to start therapy so that definitely makes it a little less stressful than before. So...what do you ladies think?...could it be a false negative or just stress making my body a little wacky?? TIA!!

What can I do next?

if you have had sex - it's possible you are pregnant.

I'm not a doctor. I would think that you would need to get a blood test to find out for sure if you were pregnant...if the home test came out negative but you are still showing symptoms - go to the doctor for a blood test...

If you are really trying to get pregnant - you can talk yourself into any symptom.

If you want to know for sure - go to the doctor for a blood test.

There's honestly no way we could possibly know if you were pregnant or not. I say, wait another week & test again. Something similar happened to me and it ended up being stress.

Depends on your age. If you are in your late 30's you may be starting perimenopause. Someone mentioned thyroid. If this continues you need to follow up with your gynecologist.

Go get a thyroid test to see if you have low hormonal levels. It's a common cause of what you have described here.

It is possible to know if you are pregnant this early..but that depends on how high your hormone levels are... I knew at 3.5 weeks with my last I was so sick...some tests catch levels earlier then others. I always trusted teh dollar tree tests...they catch the lowest amount of level. a little lower then even first response does.
