I am looking for a new preschool for my 4year old, I am longer happy with the preschool/daycare that he is currently enrolled in. He is 1 or 24 children in his room with 2teachers. I do not believe his is where he should be in his learning curve. I feel that the center is more like a childrens mill more then a true educational enviroment.
I am also having issues with the care that my 23month old is having too. Just to many very young people taking care of young children. I looking for an outstanding preschool and daycare in the Shawnee or Lenexa area for my boys but also that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Country kids daycare in Lenexa off 87th and Bourgade (near Pflumn) is a great center my daughter went there and loved it they do preschool programs in the morning for kids three and older. They have great staff and play equipment.
I send my kids to Overland Park Christian Church ###-###-####. The staff is made up with older ladies and there are typically around 12 kids per room. The staff knows all the kids by name and they always have a smile and a hello ready.

K., I sent my kids to Angels in Training and it is a great place for the kids. The most kids they ever have at a time is 12 kids. It is a mom and a daughter that run it. They teach preschool and get them ready for kindergarten and they also play. I took my kids out because I wanted to stay at home with them. We have absolutely loved Lenexa United Methodist Preschool! They have an extended day option for 4-year old preschool, they are accredited, the teachers are awesome, and they offer Mother's Day Out for your 23 month old. Best of luck to you; it's unfortunate that you've had a bad experience but there are SO MANY good ones out there!

My daughters go to Sunshine Preschool. It is located at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Long. It is absolutely fabulous! The classes are small, the teachers are great, the curriculum is unmatched.
