Hi. I'm looking for a good preschool that balances academics and socialization in the Naperville/Lisle area. I'm a stay-at-home Mom, so 1/2 day 3 times a week is good. Don't need all day type care and Christian-based programs are OK too.

Welcome to the area, I'm also in Naperville and expecting my third too! Crazy times ahead to say the least, we have a two year old, 11 months old and then the little one on the way.

In regards to the preschool, Little Shepherd in Naperville on Jefferson Street is amazing! Their number is ###-###-####. My oldest goes there during the summer months when our parents go up North to their summer home. Caden (2 year old) will also be going to preschool at Celebration Children's Center come fall of '06 ###-###-####). We also recommend St. John's ###-###-####) and Creative Nursery School ###-###-####).

In regards to the school district, 203 & 204 are one of the top districts in the state and I believe the nation…I went to 203 growing up and are currently in the 204 district now.

Good look and please keep my email handy when you move here. I’m also in new home sales www.kingscourtbuilders.com if you are looking for new construction.

Feel free to send emails about neighborhoods/areas in Naperville too.

L.: I am also a M. who is relocting from NJ to Naperville/Plainfield area and once I move I will be looking for a good preschool for my 2 1/2 year old. Also will be looking for Ped Docs and other kids activites... we should combine efforts and help each other? I lived in IL about 5 + years ago but that was per-children and now I have 2 (2 1/2 & 6 mo)which makes things very different and the important things are very different.

Check the Fox Valley or Naperville Park Districts. My daughter went to the Fox Valley Park District (Eola) preschool when she was 3 and it really was fantastic. She goes to the Oswego park district preschool this year and it is not nearly as good. Generally, you'll find a lot of moms at the park districts who are stay at home moms.

Hi there,
My little boy will be starting preschool next fall so I have been doing lots of preschool research myself (in the Naperville area). The two in Naperville that I highly recommend you check out are Little Blessings and Good Shepherd. I actually decided on Good Shepherd for my son. Little Blessings phone number is ###-###-####. Good Shepherd's phone number is ###-###-#### and the director's name is Caryn. They are both great preschools academically and socially. Hope this helps! A.

Welcome to IL! I have an aunt in NJ so I spent the summers there...I love it! I would recommend St. Joan of Arc (Catholic) for pre-school. My son attended Kdg there and we really liked it but due to some testing and some special needs from the public school we decided to send him to the Lisle public schools...which I am luke warm over. I love St. Joan and the people and teachers are great!

The 203 and 204 schools are good...taxes in the Naperville area can get high though..there are sections of Lisle that feed into the 204 district. I teach in Aurora and I can say that 204 is getting iffy depending on what side of town you live on. I have a friend who teaches at Waubonsee HS and would like to move to Naperville but is trying to stay out of that school for his own kids.

Any other questions let me know. Also there is a Lutheran church in Lisle that has a preschool that I have heard in passing is pretty good.
