Cheerios (generic Walmart brand) mixed with raisins, or buy one of those huge bags of animal crackers (Stouffers brand at Walmart.) Generic Cheez-its and pretzels.
Hi ladies ok this is our second year of mother's day out which my son loves. The thing is we have to bring snacks once a month so last year I was pregnant we were remodeling our house so I did the whole goldfish and apple juice or fruit snacks, chex mix, ect. I don't want to do that this year and I am having a hard time thinking of things that doesn't envolve peanut butter ect. We are also on a strict budget at home so it can't cost a lot to feed 12 3-4 year olds and provide a juice box. Thanks in advance.
Thanks everyone for the great ideas you all got my brain working. And I wish we didn't have to send juice boxes but we do. Thanks again.

laptoplunches.com is the BEST site ever to help with ideas. Good luck!
I usually just sent a box of goldfish or cheese its or a bag of pretzels. After working at the preschool, I see now that is really what the kids ate more of. We had some cute snacks sent in by parents, but really, it was the crackers and pretzels that really got eaten. At our school too, no one sends a juice box either. We just give them a cup of water.
One that my kids teachers always raved about was pumpkin or banana bread. I used the Pillsbury box mix and for the banana bread, I added a cup of mini chocolate chips. It's a quick bread, so you just stir water, eggs and oil into the mix, pour into a pan, and bake-super easy! You can make it as a bread and cut into 24 slices (12 slices, halved), or you can make mini muffins.
The kids loved it because it was different and yummy. And it's less than $2 a box; even less with sales and coupons.
Homemade muffins ! I was a pre-school teacher and a mom use to bring these and the kids loved them !!!! Inexpensive too.
i was a teachers assistant for pre k and some of the parents would bring healthy stuff. like grapes and carrots with ranch. you'd be surprised to see how much they loved that. oh and be careful about yogurts or bananas b/c i'm allergic and they have latex in them. if any of the kids are allergic to latex they might be allergic to bananas.
THe little hugs drinks are really cheap they have them at wallmart. You can buy a whole box for really cheap.Vanilla wafers are also cheap, appleas with like a carmel dip, veggie tray, rice crispy treats, animal crackers, cheese and craker tray.I dont know those are just some ideas that wouldnt be very expensive.Good luck.Oh yeah banana pudding kids always love that!!
You have already received some great ideas....I just wanted to add to keep it simple. The kids don't care if it is fancy or original. I would not provide juice either unless the teacher asks for it. My pediatrician said that kids are getting too much sugar from drinking alot of juice and that they need more water. Good Luck!
First, forget the juice box, make apple juice, lemonade, etc. and bring in a pitcher for the kids to put in their cups.
For snacks, dry cereal, pretzels, cut up grapes, crackers, jello (you can make 1 box and feed all of them for $1.00), pudding (make a box and put it into individual containers like the glad toss ones or just have the teacher serve it individually on plates), go gurts or yogurt.
my kids loved the "drinking" yogurts (thus no juice box) also a big bag of pre-popped popcorn was a HUGE hit in my sons class, I also sent juice in a large container to be poured in a cup and that was fine (but you might want to check with the teacher on that one). Banana's and grapes are good also, or cut up a block of cheese into squares and send it with some ritz crackers, if you go with the old stand by snacks try a twist to it... instead of pretzels send the large pretzel rods, or gold fish with chex mix of some kind.
