My 3 year old didn't get a slot in preschool this year. We play games on sprouts and nick jr. but can anyone recommend some good preschool websites.

What can I do next?

time4learning.com $20 per month, EXTREMELY worth it. Self-paced, fun, constantly being updated, and goes to 8th grade.

abcmouse.com $10 per month, seems good so far, just started with them. Maybe a bit fluffier....less learning, more like games than I prefer.

starfall.com Absolutely wonderful and free.

www.storyplace.org - this is fabulous for preschool. I used it with our twins

www.letteroftheweek.com - used this one as well and also fabulous.

www.starfall.com - came about 2 years after storyplace.org (ANOTHER GREAT ONE)

PBS kids has a lot of preschool games that teach academic skills -- a website for every PBS show - Sid the Science Kid, Word World, Super Why. I highly recommend them. The skills are right at 3 year old level.

Look up homeschoolong preschool. There will be worksheets for learning letters, shapes, colors, sequencing, etc. A lot of preschool at age three is learning through play (cause and effect, gravity, thinking logically) and socialization. So start by turning playtime into learning, making learning fun, and get her into some preschool age activities at your local community center!
