My daughter is turning 5 & wants to have a Princess Tea Party. She is going to dress as Ariel & hopefully her quests will dress up to. I have been going back & forth whether to have it at our home & have someone come over dressed as Aeriel for the birthday girl surprise or going to a place that specializes in this type of party. So my question is does anyone know anyone who would be willing to "entertain" some 4-5 years olds at a home for approx. an hour or have used anyone that does that sort of thing? Or does anyone know of any places that do this type of party. I have looked into a couple but some are outrageously expensive or too far away. We live in Fort Worth/NRH area. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Her birthday is not until November.

Hello,
I thought I would share with you a great experience we had at a dress up tea party. It was at the little girl's house. When we got there the girls just oohed and ahhed over each others outfits which lasted about 15 minutes. They had an indoor tent that looked like a castle the girls loved playing in. Then we went to the fancy decorated dining room where they were served with fancy dishes (even real dainty glasses). The dining room was decorated with yellow roses and balloons and soft fancy music. After we had our cake and tea we made purses. The plain purses were bought at Walmart and with adults help we let the kids pick from pom poms, and other fun things to put on their purses that we hot glued to the purses and then with the writable paint we put their name on the purses.
The girls then went to the living room and just danced to some music and we took lots of pictures. A great party that didn't cost an arm and a leg and my girls still talk about it as well as play with their purse. I hope this helps. Parties can be very meaningful and kept at a budget at your own home.
Good luck with your little princess!

Have you tried Let's Pretend Tea Parties on Main Street in Grapevine?
Have you checked with any of the live Theatres in the area? You might also check with the Theatre Department at UTA or TCC.

You might want to look under party at www.metroplexbaby.com. Could at least be a good list to start calling from.
I actually teach Kindermusik in North Arlington and I am available for b-day parties. You can check out my website at www.artschild.com. I don't have anything up yet about b-day parties, but you can find out more about Kindermusik there. Just let me know if you are interested and we can talk more about what I do for parties.
