I would like to know if anyone has a strong opinion - positive or negative - about any private Episcopal school in Dallas, as well as Dallas International School specifically. Thank you!

Hey C.,

My father started a second family late in life and my younger sister (age 11) goes to the International School. She has been there since kindergarden and really enjoys it. This past spring her class went on a week long trip to France. They seem to offer a wide variety of elective classes that your don't usually see in public schools as the kids get older.(fencing, italian, hip-hop etc . . ) I have heard my dad complain that they are a little weak on their American history. Here is my e-mail ____@____.com If you want I can put you in touch with my dad and step mom and they can give you a parents oppinion.

C.,

We attend the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. I know that they have a wonderful school. I did not look into it for my 3 girls due to our location. You may want to check it out.

Hi there. We are members of Saint Michaels and All Angels. This church has a mothers day out program that feeds directly into episcopal school of dallas. ESD is ranked as one of the top schools in dallas. Unfortunately, it is next to impossible to get your kids into the program. I signed my twins on the wait list when I was pregnant. Contact Barb at ###-###-####.

I would try to get in, we love it there! They have a wonderful program that truly prepares your child for pre-school,thus school.

Hi C.,
My 4.5 yo son will be attending DIS this Fall. He has attended their summer program for the last 2 summers and LOVED it!! We have been overwhelmingly impressed with the school - from the organization and education to the PTO which encourages networking (a factor I feel should come with the territory in a private school). On an educational front, I feel that the 2nd language immersion is an invaluable tool - something I cannot give to my children at home, even with fluently speaking another language (my husband does not).

You might look at www.dallasprivateschools.com

Good luck, and feel free to email me personally.
