Hi Moms!

I have recently been doing some research on the benefits of probiotics in the diet, specifically for psoriasis and other skin problems. I was just wondering if any of you out there have tried probiotics for psoriasis or anything other symptoms. Also along with starting probiotics, they recommend changing your diet. Basically eliminating sugars, yeasts, and other trigger foods, gluten. Has anyone tried a diet like this? I'm concerned because I'm not a huge veggie fan, I'll eat broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, salads, corn, edamame and lots of fruits but I'm not sure I could live off of these things for a few weeks. I'd love any info you all might have on these issues.
Thanks!

S.

I take probiotics daily and I have for about 5 months. I also have my kindergartener taking them. I started taking them to put the good bacteria back into my digestive system since the doctor mentioned that I am not absorbing my hormones as well as I should. I have noticed less gas in my stomach and my red chicken skin on the top of my arms has gone away for the most part. I never changed my diet or even heard anything about it. The probiotics are called Nature's Way Primadophiluus. My son takes the chewable kid's version of the same ones.

Hi,
Probiotics are a great idea. You don't need to change your diet for just taking probiotics. I have my 2 year old son on them because it boost his immune system. They are also good for digestive health. If you're not a huge fan of healthy food, it would be a wise choice. They're natural, and that's always a plus. My niece has psoriasis and she gets lotion from Melaleuca the Wellness company. It's amazing lotion and it has no harsh chemicals in it. It is expensive though, but I use their lotion, and I don't have psoriasis.

Probiotics are huge in boosting everyone’s immune systems. You can look for foods that are high in probiotics, like yogurt, but I suggest taking supplemental probiotics. We combine probiotics with our multi-vitamins and regular chiropractic care. Both of my girls are in daycare and we can an occasional flu bug, but in general, we are all very healthy. Also, my two daughters have NEVER been treated for ear infections and I think it's because we see the chiropractor regularly and take our vitamins and probiotics.
I have found that the Florify brand of probiotics is great and very affordable.

My youngest daughter also has eczema and we use Renew lotion and I think it would be great for the psoriasis as well. If you are interested, I can tell you how to get a discount on probiotics, vitamins, lotions, etc.

Absolutely,
Follow this link: http://healinghappens.myshaklee.com/us/en/products.php?sk...

This is what I do for a living and yes pro and prebiotics can help. So can other vitamins. Avoid that sugar, detox, add a high fiber low fat diet with lots of fresh raw fruits and vegies.

Contact me if I can help!

Casein or milk products are the most common allergen and gluten is very common too. Some people don't have a true IgE allergy but do have an IgG food sensitivity that can cause rashes and eczema and even brain fog. There are many gluten free substitutes in the health food stores if you want to try a gluten free diet. Probiotics can also be very helpful to kids and adults.

Hello S.!
Hope all is well! Just noticed your question about probiotics. I LOVE probiotics, you are right in that it does help with your skin. Whatever you put on your skin gets ingested in your bloodstream, and whatever is going on in your stomach is likely to show up through your skin!! Your skin is the largest organ of the body and is meant to get rid of toxins or waste.
Try Kombucha~ found at your local store by organic milk, or soy milk
or try Arbonne's Clear Advantage skin Support supplement with probiotics
www.freshliving.myarbonne.com

Also, I think you will notice a HUGE difference in your skin if you boost your Omega 3's.
You can get this from chia seeds or flax meal (add to cereal, yogurt, salads.)
Or try Arbonne's Omega 3 supplement that contains both flax and chia seeds.
And if you would like info for 4 weeks to wellness, I would be happy to share that with you.
It is a menu plan that is all set up for you, it has a 4 week menu plan, and recipes for the 4 weeks!! If these suggestions do not help I would be surprised!!
Here's to bright, beautiful, and glowing you,
inside and out!!
