I was wondering if there was any one out there who has had problems with there incision site or around there incision almost 2 years after the surgery. I visited my doctor today and for the past year and a half I had been going to planned parent hood, well I switched dr.'s and today was my first visit with him. He was feeling around the incision site and it's still very tender for me, he's concerned and feels that maybe I may have systs or some otehr problems around the site. If any one has had anything like this or has any information on what they have gone through or how your site feels please let me know. I go in 2 weeks to have an untra-sound done around the incision.. I'm just nervous.. so thanks for any tips or help I really appriciate it!

M., I have had 3 c section within 6 yr. My children are all or close to 2 yrs. apart. My insision area is still funny feeling and numb. I was told that they may have cut nerves in the area. They cut the same mark 3 times and the last one took forever to heel. I feel for you I know c section are hard on you. It has been 6 yrs. since my last c section. it is a good thing that this doctor is being cautous. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

M.-
I had a c-section as well, just last March. I am still sore around the site if you touch it.. but I wanted to let you know that cysts are indeed a possibility! When they opened me up, they found a cyst on my ovary that they took out during the c-section. When my son was about 2 months, I started having intense INSTENSE pain around the insicion. I talked my Mom into driving me to the emergency room for a cat-scan and it turned out that I had some cysts on my kidney's. So, if it hurts, do not avoid it! Seek some medical advice if the pain is that strong- although, I will agree with the other ladies and say I don't think the mild tenderness goes away for quite some time!
Best of luck!

Hi M.,

I had my c section in April 04 and mine didn't heal right due to I had to go back to work so soon after having mine and it kept coming apart due to the fact I was caring around a 7 lb baby and the carrier and a bag.
Mine however is closed, and healed and numb for the most part. .
I started having some minor pains there about three months ago. They did an ultra sound and found nothing. They came up with it must just be scare tissue build up. It happens with most surgery sites. I have pains every now and then from the scars I have from my gallbladder surgery in 99.
If you that worried or upset have someone diffrent take a look at you.

I had a hysterectomy in Jul of last year. I am still experiencing pain which I am told by a friend it may just be scar tissue. I can't see my ob/gyn until Jan because of his busy schedule. My hyster. was a bad one because I was told because I had alot of extra bleeding. The site is only alittle bigger than a c-secttion scar so I am curious about what your doctor says.
Good Luck!

I have had 3 c-sections. My oldest is almost 13, and my youngest is 13 months. I still have tenderness there, but what from my doctor said it is normal..it doesnt hurt or anything, just feels kinda sensitive and numb almost...its kinda weird. I hope everything works out for you and it is nothing serious...Good Luck and let me know how it goes...from fellow c-section mommy

I M., I have had 2 c-sections my last being Oct 04. A year later I was still very tender and was having lots of pain. My doctor felt like something was not right and did do a u/s. She found a solid cyst on my left ovary. I had surgery in Jan of this year to remove my left ovary and cyst. I felt 100 times better the next day. I relieved all the pain and tenderness. So if it is a cyst know that you will feel so much better once it is out! Surgery is minor and outpaitent nothing like a c-section!

Hello M.,
I have had three C-sections (1989, 1990, 1993) and experienced tenderness around the scar as well. It didn't bother me unless I actually touched it - then it felt sore. That was a long time ago....but I do remember asking the doctor about it - thinking that it didn't seem right. They were not concerned at all, and eventually the tenderness went away. But I wanted to let you know - it took YEARS.
