Try Lowes or Home Depot, maybe an outdoor rug that you can throw outside & hose off when it needs a good cleaning. Saw that on HGTV.
Hi Moms. I have moved into a house that has carpet in the only dining area we have. Yuck. How can I protect my carpet under the table at dinner time? I would like to find a large piece of the material that you can put under office chairs so they can roll on carpet but not sure if anyone sells it. Any ideas or solutions you have used?
Thanks for your help,
C.

How bout just a cheap throw rug over the carpet under the table? Then when it gets grungy you can just chuck it and get a new one.
We use a cheap area rug to protect the carpet under our dinning table.
I have heard of people use exactly what you describe. Maybe try the office supply stores??
My grandmother always threw a large flat sheet under the table at dinner time then picked it up after we were done eating. Might be more trouble than it's worth to do all the time but you might be able to leave one down for a few days at a time. I like the rug idea as well. . . good luck!
We bought an oriental-type rug that fits under the table. We just vacuum it when we vacuum the carpets. We've had it for about 8 years or more and it's held up well. Get one that doesn't show dirt well. We got ours at Home Depot, I think.
