WOW - thank you for sharing that, and what an AWESOME deed and accomplishment for Greg. BRAVO!
ETA: I see so many parents posting about their kids on FB, pictures, accomplishments, etc., and I ALMOST get sucked into the madness... BUT then my SENSE kicks in, and I refrain. I. Hate. Facebook. But I do sometimes feel bad that I am not shouting from the mountaintops how immensely proud I AM of my son for who he is becoming, and for his accomplishments. So to my friends here, whom I feel comfortable sharing this information with, I will tell you that my son made perfect marks on his first Kindergarten report card, he was selected as Student of the Month for November (chosen by grades and classroom behavior), he has remained on Green (they use a Green, Yellow, Red behavior system in the classroom), and his is only 1 of 2 kids in the entire class of 25 kids that has never gotten off of Green, and his teacher said in our parent/teacher conference, that he is an absolute pleasure to have in class. He is kind, social, well mannered and well behaved, and is in the upper portion of the class academically and making wonderful academic progress.
This is the kid, whom I posted about several times in the past about my concerns about his behaviors, his academic progress, etc. Man, sometimes I wonder where my head is, and I am finally learning to just let things be and let him become the wonderful little man he is becoming.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to say all that. :)
