OK dumb question kind of, but

at what age and order and how long inbetween where your chld boy or girls signs of puberty

my 7 1/2 yo girl has gotten hair on her legs

my 9 yo son has smelly pits if i stick my nose right in it.

So what would i expect next for either of them and if you can remember , how long did they need deodorant before they sprouted pubic hair, and how long between that and breasts for the girls, etc etc

I guess i hear on here about girls getting their periods so early, So if an 8 yo is really mensturating does that mean at 6 yo they were starting to smell and grow hair, and that they were in a bra at 7???

I know i'm worrying about this way more than i need to but i honsetly have very very vague memories of this age, my family was going thorugh a lot of trauma at athat time and I shut alot out.

so any help on what to expect would be appreciated

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

also I'll tag this on, I"m sure my DD will ask lots of quesitons she is very curious, but DS never once asked where babies come from, I've gotten him books and he read it and we talked a little but he wasn't comfortable and didn't seem ready, I will try again, but have you experienced that and how doyou deal with THEM not wanting to be interested.
I'm sure he has some ideas about my periiod, things i've mentioned but he has no desiire to ask any further.

My oldest got her period at 12.5 - the doctor said that once they get breast buds and some pubic hairs then the first period will happen in about 2 years. Body odor starts at about that time as well. In our town,in 5th grade they get the development talk with boys and girls separated in gym class. They then get a sample of pads and deodorant for the girls - not sure what the boys get. My youngest is now 12.5 and does not have her period yet but she has friends who got theirs as young as 10. I was 15 when I got mine.

We don't eat meat and eat only organic dairy. My oldest didn't get her period until 13. My youngest is 10 and the only sign of puberty is some fuzzy blond hair on her legs that she hates and says is new.

I notice that many of the early blooming girls I see are also overweight.

Everyone is different, hormones in food has been linked to early puberty and genetics will play a role as well. I wouldn't "worry" about it but I would make sure they're eating organic dairy and meat.

I've heard early puberty is due to hormones in our meat and milk. Are you giving your kids hormone free food?

I started needing deodorant at age 7. I also started needing a bra around that age. I started getting pubic hair between the age of 8 and 9. I got my period at age 10.
