I just recently started outting my 23 month old daughter in pull-ups. I told her they were her new panties. After 4 days of wearing them you has broke out in a rash. It's not like a diaper rash it is a bunch of little spotts every were they touch her. I realized they are Huggies brand and she is alergic to huggies. Does any one know if there is a pampers brand of pull-ups? I have tried to put her in cloth panties but she just pees every were. She understands getting on the potty and wiping then flushing but after sitting there for how ever long she stands up and pees on the floor. I just don't know what to do.

What can I do next?

Yes there are a pampers brand of pullups. My son is using them at this moment. You just have to look for them.

After having 2 children and experiencing the joys of potty training, my advice is that she's simply not ready. I truely believe something cognitivly has to happen before they can grasp the process of releasing and holding. I would save yourself the headache and try again in a couple of months. As far as the allergy problem, there are several off brands that I'm sure would work for you. And yes Pampers does have pull up type pants, I have seen them at Walmart and other simliar retail stores.
Hope this helps!

the pampers brand is Easy-ups. My neice can only wear pampers, and she uses those. You should give her time and not push her. She's not even 2 yet. One of my girls potty trained at 21 mos. but all my other kids were over 2. At least she's figuring out what the potty is for, just be patient, and don't put her in underwear. She's obviously not ready. Also, about the passy: if you just started back to work, whether she's in daycare or has a sitter, it's a big change for her, and trying to potty train and take away something she uses for comfort at the same time, it's just too much for a 2 yr. old to do at once. I think you may be trying to do too many things at once(for her). I would let her adjust to you working for a little while, then try to take away the passy, then work on the potty training. Don't stress both of you out! Good Luck!

Pull ups are not designed to pull urine and feces away from the skin like a diaper does. As soon as the pull up gets dirty it needs to be changed. They are designed so the child can feel when they are wet or dirty. Pampers does make pull ups. Theirs are much bulkier and don't have velcro on the sides. You have to rip them down the sides. I totally understand the struggles of potty training. My little boy is 2 and has no interest in sitting on the potty. He has "big boy" underwear and everything. I don't know where to go from here. Hope this helps.

Pampers does make a type of pull ups. They offer easy ups and feel and learn. Try a potty chart and let her put her sticker up after she goes to the potty and make sure to praise her, worked great with my oldest and now my 20 month old is almost fully potty trained. Good luck!!!

Hi A.,

YES, my little girl does the same thing in ALL pull-ups!!! NOT just Huggies, I did try all other brands, but I think what it is~~they are NOT as absorbent as reagular diapers!!! You know so that they can actually FEEL wet!!!! A regular diaper is thicker, pull-ups are really thin~~they also usually have some sort of ink (stars, hearts) something to see if she/he is really wet or not!!! I know what you mean about the cloth ones also, my little girl now can go with ONE pull-up all day and NOT have an accident!!! So YEAH, then I go and put on one of those training painties on and BOOM, an accident!!!

I still do use pull-ups, but I do change them more frequently to maybe ward off those little annoying bumps!!! Good luck in all of the potty training!!!

Best Wishes,
C.

Absolutely pampers has pull ups... as does every other brand of diapers! In the beginning of the potty training process we used White Cloud because they are less expensive and we needed more of them... once she started getting the hang of it we switched to the "Feel n Learn" kind and that worked pretty well in getting her to not like the feeling of being wet. and this weekend was the first full weekend we spent in panties!!!! yay!! No accidents! I'm thrilled. Anyway, good luck to you!

Very interesting, my daughter is also potty training. When I changed her to pull-ups, she too started with a rash that I have had a hard time getting rid of....mostly on her butt though. I have decided to do the regular undies though which for the most part, is working. How about the padded "regular" undies? Have you tried those? I am thinking about getting those too for when she is playing and forgets untill she starts going. Just a thought.

My sister-in-law had the same problem with all three of her kids. There are other brands out there, especially if you go to somewhere like Wal-Mart, and they have their own, cheaper brand. There is a Pamper's Feel N Learn, andI believe another one besides the Huggies and the cheap-o's.
I recently trained my 3yo boy. The pull-ups didn't work at all for him. I like telling everybody this technique because it was agonizing for a while, but it really worked well. I put him on the potty every 20 minutes for a couple days. Then every 30 for a couple days. Then 40, and so on, until he figured out it's no fun to sit on the potty all day. I didn't use the pull ups because he just thought of them as diapers and didn't care if he peed in them. He had to learn the hard way (and messy!) that it was undesirable to wet his pants. Plus when he wasn't in the pull ups, I could watch him and recognize that when he has to go, he gives me certain warning signs. You have to recognize those and teach them. I read somewhere to take them outside naked with a potty seat, and when they start to go, put them on the potty and explain NOW is the time to put that there. It was too cold for us to do that. PT seems really hard right now, but I can tell you, once she gets the hang of it, you'll wonder what the big deal was!!
