Question About Cooking Lasagna

The recipe I'm following does not ask that I cover the dish with foil when putting in the oven. I prepared the lasagna this afternoon and have it in the fridge waiting and ready so that I can pop in the oven for dinner tonight. It's in a glass baking dish currnetly covered with plastic wrap.
Should I leave it uncovered while baking or am I supposed to cover it with foil? I dont want the sauce dripping all over the inside of the oven.
The recipe says to bake at 350 for 30 min, then take out, add cheese on top, and bake for 15 more min.
Oh, and since it's been in the fridge, would I need to bake it longer?

What can I do next?

Cover with foil, and I cook mine for over an hour.

Yes, cover it with foil, if you don't, the noodles and cheese on top will be crispy.

You didn't say if the noodles were cooked or uncooked. If they are uncooked you will need the sauce to be a bit more liquid as it will cook when baked. Cover the bottom of your oven with foil to catch an drips. When the oven is cool you can take up the foil and the bottom will be clean. It is customary to put the cheese on the top at the end of the cooking to melt. Once it is cooked, take out the pan and let it sit for 15 minutes to finish cooking and then cut and serve. You will do fine. Oh, if you are wooried about the cold pan and the hot oven, put the pan in the oven cold and then when the oven heats up so will the pan. The other S.

To prevent the leaking onto the oven, how about putting the pan onto a cookie sheet?

I would follow the recipe, but monitor the lasagna carefully. If it looks like the noodles are getting crusty or the cheese is getting to brown, I would cover the lasagna. I would think you would have to cook it longer since it is refrigerated. You don't want the top to be hot but the inside still cold. Good Luck. Let me know how it goes and how the recipe is. I'm looking for a good lasagna recipe so I can make up a batch to freeze before I go to the hospital to have my baby.

I make lasagne often and make ahead as you did.

Just use the recipe as a guide. I know my oven cooks slower than what most recipes say.

Coming from the fridge, I would lightly cover with foil and bake until it is bubbly, After I am sure it is heated thoroughly, I would take it out, put the cheese on top then bake longer with no foil for the cheese to melt.

Enjoy

I cover with foil for the 30 minutes and then for the added 15 minutes remove the foil. I do not boil the noodles prior I put them in hard. If you are doing it this way you will definitely want to cover so the noodles cook. You are probably all done cooking, so I hope it turned out great!
