C.K.
I had it before Christmas. The nausea is the worst, and I only vomited a couple of times and had a couple of bouts of diarrhea. The vomiting and diarrhea only lasted two days, the nausea for almost a week. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Anyone suffering from this stomach bug going around? I feel like I'm in the first trimester of pregnancy and totally suffering from morning sickness, but I haven't missed a period. I can't even think about eating and I have vomited a few times. I've had a headache for like 4 days now...anyone else sick like this??

That bug went all around my area the week before Christmas. My whole family had it, my sister-in-law's family, my neighbors. It was nasty. I hope you feel better soon!
My sister just had it and is finally coming out of it, but doesn't feel great yet and it has been a week. My father who is a work-a-holic stayed in bed all day yesterday. I don't think he has ever done that in my 32 years...Try to stay hydrated, and maybe check in with the doctor. Have you eaten peanut butter? (that recall going around, you might want to play it safe)
Hi P.
You are not alone! I have had the nausea for 3 days now, and a headache on/off. The kids both were throwing up over the weekend, I got diarrhea on Tuesday and felt like vomiting all day but never did (probably would have felt better if I did). Felt like a new person on Wed once I got a ton of sleep, with very little nausea, just no appetite. Went back to work today and am now nauseous again. I never had morning sickness during my pregnancies, instead had 9 month long evening nausea/indigestion so I also thought I was pregnant at first! Happy to say I'm not, thankfully! Stay hydrated, get your rest when you can. My kids bounced back right away if it's any consolation. You probably just need to wait it out, and try chicken broth or noodle soup just to get some protein. Flat gingerale helps w/ the nausea. Good luck

I had it right before Christmas and everyone DID think I was pregnant! Couldn't even be near the kitchen as the sight and smell of food made me ill (I wasn't THAT bad when I was pregnant). Then I felt better, stuck to BRAT diet, and my hubby got it! Then I got it AGAIN for another 24 hours. It was awful, but as long as you stay hydrated (probably the source of your headache), I think you'll be fine. If you are nervous, call the doc!
me too! i actually took a pregnacy test yesterday. not pregnant though. i have a 3 month old and am not ready for another! i have felt like i would vomit on and off for 3 days now and a headache too. it's just annoying. hope you feel better. ginger ale helps me...
uh oh. i've had a splitting headache since yesterday and have been fighting nausea. i had that, "holy cow, i hope i'm not pregnant" thought last night! hope i don't get what you have, and i hope you get past it soon.
The flu that is going around this year is nasty! I had it for 4 days. I did not take anyone's advice about keeping hydrated. Ended up in the hospital with kidneyu stones from being so severely dehydrated.
Learn from my mistake and keep very well hydrated no matter how crappy you feel drinking!
Best of luck to you! Hope youa re feeling better soon.
Oh yeah.....Bug is def going around! My daughter had it, then me, then my hubby, then everyone around me....it seems like it is circleing my friends, and back to ppl all around. Just drink alot of fluids, and ginger ale seemed to work for all of us...warm broth....I was not able to eat for like a week......Take care of yourself..
Probably the bug, but keep an eye on that belly just to be sure! :) Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and eat what you can. Try the BRAT diet- bananas, rice, apples, toast. These foods are easily digested and are not irritating. Good luck! :)
I know the stomach virus has been going around. make sure you are drinking enough fluids. dehydration could be causing a headache. just to make sure do a pregnancy test if you are worried.
Ugh...I feel your pain! My 2 1/2 year old daughter had that stomach bug and vomited 2 to 3 times a day/night for seven days straight. She only had diarria twice being she could not keep food down long enough. I was afaid she was headed for a trip to the ER. Thankfully I kept at her with small, constant sips of Gatoraide through out the day to ward off dehydration. She also had on and off low grade fevers. I was hard to witness her going through this illness because she's so petite to begin with! She bounced back though with a ferocious appetite for peanut butter (not on the recall list thank God) & jelly sandwiches!
I hope you and anyone out there a speedy recovery and get better soon!!

Hope you're feeling better soon. This is only my second response on MamaSource, but I felt compelled to respond to you. If you've have had a headache, with nausea, for four days, I highly recommend that you see your doctor if you haven't already. I'm not a dr., but experience tells me not to wait to see your dr. Good luck and feel better soon.
My whole family got it starting with me. I confused some vomiting with morning sickness which I was having at the same time, but when my one year old got it right after me, I realized. He was puking for a week! When he was well, my husband got it. It's so awful, you just have to wait it out. If your kids get it, be sure to offer lots of fluids! Sorry! Get well soon!
My three children and my niece all complained of a headache and vomitted a few times - they all had strep throat. Wouldn't hurt to go to the doctor and have it tested. Hope you feel better soon.
There is a virus going around that is very nasty! It seems to last for almost a week and the headache makes you feel like your head is going to explode. Google Norovirus and it will give you more information about it. Hope you feel better soon :)
