We leave for Ireland tomorrow. A month ago I bought the kids new raincoats. Well, my oldest lost hers. It is no where to be found.
What stores might I find a raincoat in? I was going to do amazon prime, but I can't even find a prime coat to order. If I go to a sporting goods store, might they have raincoats? Usually raincoats and boots are a fall thing.
I need to buy one today!

Rain ponchos, and cheap umbrellas (kiddie and adult) were available near every tourist destination when we were in England this spring. I imagine you can find something in Ireland.
If you really feel you have to have something before you go, you can get a travel poncho in most CVS/ Walgreens.
Best,

Do you have an outlet mall near you? I know they had rain boots and rain coats at the outlet we were in.
However, I would just wait until we got to Ireland. Since they know it rains and stuff happens? I'm sure you'll be able to find one there. Ask your mother in law to pick one up. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold them in the airport (unfortunately, I've never been to Ireland - only to England!) and I know they'll be more expensive there, but it's an option.
I would also call Wal-Mart and Target to find out if they have any in stock..they are starting to get their Fall/Winter stuff out. I saw snow boots in Wal-Mart last week! LOL!! And it was 90 degrees!! I laughed!!
I agree to probably just wait until you get there. I would pick up a poncho so you have it if necessary and then plan on getting one there. Or have your MIL order one and have it shipped to her house and you can pay her back.
I would just buy one there. Sure it might cost a little more but there's no way I'd be scrambling around one day before leaving on an international trip searching for a hard to find item. A calm final day at home would be worth a few extra dollars to me!
(When we went to London last summer I saw lots of cheap "shell" type poncho/rain jackets in the tourist shops. Not the best quality but unless you're going to do some major hiking or site seeing something like that should be enough to keep her dry.)
Lands End or an LLBean outlet if there's one in your area- they always have rain coats
I like rain ponchos.
They fold down very small (I keep them in the car).
I bought one for our kids a few weeks ago at Costco ...
Check Once upon a child, they might have them or any other second hand store.
Craigs list.
macy's had coats out, but not sure I saw a raincoat. however, it's nearing the time that they would.. also, try the burlington coat factory... remember, although it's Summer.. they are always one season ahead.. I'd say overnight Zappos.. but may not get to you in time.. although, they could deliver internationally IF you have an Intl address in Ireland you ll be visiting.. that way, it would be waiting for you when you get there..
Gymboree, children's place and Stride Rite always seems to have those types of items.
Or try Gander Mountain, REI, etc.
I was also going to say Costco. I was just there and they had raincoats
Walmart has kids rain ponchos in the sports/camping section.
Oddly I have found kids rain coats at Aldi this time of year.
Save yourself some time and call these places first ( I always think of it after I trek out there).
Have a nice time on your trip!
not sure how old but gymboree has them. Everything in the store is $14.99 or less and if you sign up for emails you can get additional 20% off. They have boots and umbrellas too. Enjoy your trip!
Try Target. We just got back from Ireland last week- the weather has been gorgeous!! We were at the beach a lot, the best I've ever seen it there! Have fun!
