Hi Moms! I am hoping that someone can recommend a place where you can make a batch of meals for a week at a time (I think there is one concept called Super Suppers). My girlfriends and I want to try something like that out, but there are so many out there. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am a big fan of the dinner station and dream dinners. Super suppers I used one time and what we got was good, but we dont usually love enough of their menu choices at once to book a session there.

FYI mamas- At Home Dinners closed :( I used to LOVE that place but they just closed this month (or late last month) and they are gone without warning.

I really like Super Suppers in Allen on McDermott. You can go in to a class and make the dinners, or pick up any time from their freezer, or order a bunch online for them to make and you to pick up at your convenience (which is what I do). The food is good and reasonably priced -- I could not purchase all the stuff and take the time to prepare it for what they charge. The 1/2 size entrees feed 2-3 and the full size feed 4-6. Yummy! www.supersuppersallen.com

The Dinner Station is our favorite! We order 16 "half" meals a month and that feeds a family of 5 for dinner. I save over $300 in grocerys now and we love it.

The Dinner Station at Spring Creek and Coit in Plano is wonderful. I've done all the different places for the last 4 years and LOVE this location. I pay $89.50 for 8 half orders (3 servings each) and go once a month. Good selection, good quality. There's also a place at Legacy and Coit called At Home Dinners. I used to go there and switched only because I liked the variety offered at The Dinner Station.

You didn't mention where you live, but in Highland Village and Corinth there is a place called the Dinner Station that does what you are looking for.

I recently tried Dream Dinners in Frisco (on Preston Road, just next to Kohl's at Preston and Rolater). I had a blast!! In fact, I signed up and did a second session a month later, and had even more fun. I think the prices are reasonable and their menu is pretty great. My family has enjoyed all of the food I have made so far. I know they have a Web site where you can see menus, or you can call the store. I recommend it! I am definitely going back.

I used to love At Home Dinners but unfortunately they closed. Another great place that I have found is Dinner My Way. It is located at Park and the Tollway in Plano, across from Super Target. Their food is so good! You can either go in and prepare your dinners yourself, or you can place your order on-line and they'll make it for you. They even have a lot of dinners already prepared, so if you happen to be driving by and just want to pop in and pick something up, you can do that too. Highly recommended!

Set up an assembly line in your kitchen... start with particular recipes you enjoy and do the process and then freeze. I knew someone that did that for years. Never cooked during the week.

Also, crock pots are great. Enjoy your day.

I totally recommend The Dinner Station. They have locations in Highland Village and Plano. They are very reasonable and have several package options, and even offer carryout service so all you have to do is stop in and pick it up. But it is a lot of fun to come with some girlfriends and get some away time. You can check them out at www.thedinnerstation.com

No, no, no. What you want to do is go to SavingDinner.com, get the Mega Menu Mailer, or Freezer Menus. Then everyone buys a portion of the shopping list, you all get together at a kitchen or a church kitchen with a lot of gallon freezer bags, and chop, mix, and portion to your hearts content! Then everyone grabs some bags and heads home with plenty of meals. Each Menu makes 28 meals for 4, so double the shopping list or whatever, based on how many ladies you have. EVERYONE should do food this way! The kids eat it, it's so yummy, you try new things, meal prep is a cinch and takes so little time and you are all eating HEALTHY! FAST! :)

You can even talk to a person directly on the site who knows the ropes, and I can make 28 meals for my freezer and still have room for lots of other stuff--it packs flat!

I can't recommend it highly enough, and I'm sure it's tons cheaper than a store.

Hi D.. There is a place called Dinner Station. I think the website is dinnerstation.com. If I was you though I would get your friends together and everyone bring ingredients for one recipe (times however many families) and make it a girls night and everyone goes home with a couple of dinners. It would probably be cheaper that way as well. Good luck!
