I am trying to sell a used 8 pass. van. I need help on web sites that you or friends have had experience with or good luck. I tried to respond to the previous posting, but it was gone - don't know why

Car Max Auto dealerships will buy your vehicle without you needing to purchase a new vehicle.. FYI I would call the bank first to get the "Retail Value" of the vehicle just to verify they are not underbidding your vehicle, also www.nada.com is a great source to see what your vehicle is worth. I hope this will help. Good luck!! W.

M. - they removed my post because they said that you can't post requests about selling products? Anyway, try www.craigslist.com, topix.com, autotrader, biglots.com, vehix.com. Autotrader and biglots you have to pay to advertise but they're fairly reasonable. I have had zero luck selling my Escort and been advertising it for five weeks. Don't know if the markets just lousy due to the economy - people wanting to hold onto their money - or what.

We sold my car on autotrader.com - at the time though it was one flat rate to put it on there and vehix.com so it was on both sites...once it got put on autotrader though (we had it on vehix alone for a month) it was sold withing a week and a half (and that was only because the a/c went right as they were going to look at it, so I had to have it fixed)...and we actually got 2 people bidding on the car from that site. What we liked about it too was that you could download a Bill of Sale to fill out (we printed out 2 copies, so each party had a copy) so that it was proof you sold the car and we added the clause "as is" so it was like a contract sort of (protected us basically).

We had great experience w/carmax. They're in Schaumburg & Naperville along with other locations I'm sure. Check out their website.
It's quick too.
