Well, I haven't looked at the other posts, and I'm not exactly the answer you're looking for because my most recent baby was August 2008, BUT... I love Presby Allen. I chose it over McKinney...even so much as to go with my second choice of Midwife (another story). Let me preface this by saying I do not have complicated pregnancies or deliveries, so I have not had to deal with any "extra" services. But for the basic stay in a labor/delivery/postpartum ward, it's great. I love that they basically never make the baby leave the room, unless you want him/her to. They are very friendly to more progressive requests (holding the baby with the umbilical cord attached, holding the baby longer before doing the well-check, preferences with vitamin K and other medicinal practices, etc.); they allow the daddy and siblings to give the first bath; rooming in; and so on. They won the award that is associated with all of these (don't remember what the name of it is now, but I think it's on the website). They are very friendly to midwives and natural childbirth...not easily found in the DFW area. (Even if I didn't want to use a midwife or go drug-free, I would want a hospital that was known for this because it shows they are more open-minded and that can help out in many decisions outside of these...they tend to listen more to the mother too).
So, I know I'm not a "recent" experience, but I've heard they've gotten even better! I was one of the first to be able to use the tub they installed (even ended up giving birth in water! I know....crazy!! Still can't hardly believe I did it!). Again they just prove to me that there can be a mix of medical and natural intervention and that is exactly what I was looking for.
Well, hope that helps. I know you mentioned changing ob's...if you'd consider a midwife I'll give you my story of how I went from an ob to a midwife...even when my ob was great (it was actually his idea). Don't want to bog you down with those details if that's not anything you want to hear!!
