Hamburger Soup: add in onion, garlic, peppers while frying the meat. I rinse the grease off with hot water afterwards....which totally freaks out my husband.
Soup base: beef broth &/or tomato or V8 juice. (or a combo of both).
Add: the seasoned, cooked meat. A bag of frozen stew or soup vegies. (we like the kind with okra in it.) A little bit of tiny pasta or rice....or diced potatoes.....or a combo of it all.
Seasonings: you have a variety of choices on this. I change it up regularly. I always use S & P, garlic. Then I add red pepper flakes or jalapenos if I want spicy. Sometimes I use just a packet of taco mix. Sometimes I use all Italian tomatoes (instead of V8) & Italian spices. Sometimes I add salsa, corn, & black beans. & sometimes I even use caraway & cabbage!
