I'd recommend the Cedar Summit model at Costco. We just installed it and it seems very sturdy. We did buy a baby swing separately (Gorilla brand I think) for our 2 year old.
I'm looking for a good quality wooden swing set for the backyard. My children are 7(almost 8), 4 & 1, so I'd like something that will last. I haven't checked, but am assuming Rainbow would be too pricey. We'd like to spend between 1000-1500. Can you recommend a sturdy, quality set that will please them all?
Thanks in advance,
S.

Hi- I recommend looking for someone who builds custom play structures instead of buying from Home Depot, Toys R Us etc. Those play structures are usually cheaply made and you have build them yourself. (Ugh!) We just found someone in Portland, Oregon who designed a play structure for us and will come to our house and build it. It is designed to fit our small yard and will have the specific features we want. Our space is too small to have a swing, but our structure will have a 5 ft. tower with a roof, a slide, ladder, climbing wall, sandbox and storage bench. The only thing we have to do is stain it. It is made out of cedar. It will cost $1700 for everything, installed! So a little more than your cost, but again, you can design it how you want. Take a look at his website customplaystructures.com if you are in Oregon. Our play structure will be built next week and we are so excited!
We got one from Home Depot and it's great. My daughter loves it! She enjoys everything on there. You can check those out, we are really happy with ours. We paid less than $1000.00 for it, but we actually did not get the biggest one they have. I think they have like 4 or 5 to choose from. Check them and good luck!
I just bought an Oasis II playset and it seems really good. I actually got it used through craigslist. The previous owner loves it and is only selling because they are moving to a place without a yard. If I were you, I'd check out craigslist before buying brand new. We saved about $1000 this way.
